Walgreens: FREE Purex 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets

by Tara Kuczykowski on August 17, 2010 · 19 comments

It appears that many Walgreens stores have these Purex displays setup to offer a 2-ct. Purex 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets package for just $0.99. Use this $1/1 Purex 3-in-1 printable coupon to get them FREE!

FREE after coupon!

If your store is resistant to reducing coupons that are larger than the price of the item, try buying an additional item to absorb the difference. For example, buy 5 packages and use 4 coupons. They won't be free this way, but you'll avoid any hassle because the coupons should not beep.

Good Morning, Has anyone tried these? Did anyone get greasy looking spots all over the entire load of laundry that these sheets were used? I have a few and now I'm afraid to try them again. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is my favorite product to take with us on vacation because of the no mess factor. I haven't had any problems with greasy spots at all.

I got greasy spots as well, but luckily they came out when I washed the load again with normal detg. So, not a total loss, but I won't be using these again.

I was told at my local Walgreen's that they cannot take a coupon that is over the amount of the item. She said they can't manually adjust either the coupon or the price of the item, that it is illegal. ??? Does anyone know if this is actually the case? I live in Michigan, if that's any help. It seems so silly to me that for a penny, they won't let you use the coupon. :( Even with an item to get the total over the needed amount, they wouldn't take it.

if it's illegal then why does cvs do it all the time? the cvs' in my area always adjust a coupon down to the price of the item if it is less with no problems! that's why i dislike shopping at wags.

I told her that every other store does it all the time, but she insisted that it is illegal. It's funny, because just the week before I made my first visit to this Walgreen's and had a fantastic experience. The manager was great and was teasing me like an old friend. If he had been there this past visit, I would have loved to talk with him, but he wasn't.

My local WAGS is the same way. They told me it is FRAUD to adjust a coupon down, Even if I add a filler item they won't take it. So many of the deals that are posted I miss out on because of their policy.

They cannot change the amount of the coupon, but you buy other products and the extra money goes off your total.

1. I have used these when traveling and at home and think they are awesome. I haven't had any issues with spots and it makes my life much easier when on vacation.

2. I have stopped shopping at Walgreens because of the cashiers and how they treat me when I use coupons. On two separate occasions I have been treated like a criminal when using legally printed coupons. It isn't worth the hassle for me, although I hate missing out on some of the great deals.

Anyone else having problems with using coupons at Walgreens?

Kristen, I feel your pain! I think there are a lot of us on the same boat when trying to use coupons at Wags. I myself have stopped shopping at Wags because of this very same problem. Makes me feel like a criminal for using coupons when it is there for a purpose!

I LOVED this product! So quick and easy, especially for traveling, and I liked that there was a more mild smelling "sensitive" version. Plus between sales and high dollar coupons I was finding really good deals. I have been noticing greasy spots on my clothes, though, and I haven't been able to get many of them out. After reading your posts, I realize that the spots started around the time I started using these sheets. I will use what is left on towels and switch over to the Method detergent (also frequently on sale with coupons) and easy on my son's sensitive skin.

After never having had a problem with coupons in the past, I was told today I could only use 3 Purex coupons when buying 4 of them as the total was less than the value of the coupons. I said I realized that but I had bought another item ($5.99) and that ate up the overage. The cashier was not very nice and flatly refused. I asked for a manager whom she called on the phone and he agreed with her. I was left looking like an idiot in front of the other customers. I came home, reviewed their coupon policy and called the manager and read it to him. He never admitted he was the manager the cashier had, called but said if I came in with the coupon and receipt he would adjust it. It was not the WAGS I usually go to and will not be going back there.

Is the policy on their website?

From my understanding it is up to each store and basically they make up their own rules.

Okay for everyone having a problem with this deal at WAGS, I saw the Purex 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets (2 ct.), for $1.00 at Dollar General yesterday.

We live in Tennessee and have never had a problem useing coupons at Wags. Now one thing I do is go in the evening 7:00 to 10:00 or so when the older staff is on duty. They are so much nicer to deal with and being a man I can be more dumber about coupons . The teens and early twentys are so much smarter We are. They just know so much more at their age now , than we will ever know in our life times , You know " Is this the right product for this coupon?" or " Do I have to have 3 coupons for these or those ? "or what ever. I guess the older group take pity on this poor defenceless idiot and takes care of me . In fact I am laying out the coupons getting ready to go to Wags. around 6:30 I hope there are no kids on tonight.

They must have recently updated it then, because it didn't say that when I first posted this. :(

I dont go to wlgreens ever anymore
but I have found this purex product at walmart and they are just $4. and change plus tax. If I had used the $3.00 coupon I could've gotten it for $1. and change plus tax but didnt get
paid till after the coupon expired.
