Whoops..I accidentally added my CVS deals to the Walgreens post. Feel free to delete them off this post. Sorry!
I am confused about the Tylenol deal. How does it go down to .49? I have never done Walgreens before, but I come up with $1.49 each.
I dont see where it says buy carefree panty liners 1.99 and get 1.99 RR? I want to do this deal tomorrow but I want to make sure I'll be getting a RR.
Jen, for the Tylenol deal you can use both the manufacturer coupon and the Walgreens coupon. The Walgreens coupon will automatically multiply times the number of items you buy.
Erika, the Carefree deal is a monthly deal, so it's not in the ad. There will probably be a tag in the store, but even if not, it should print.
i love my walgreens when they are slow... i went in this afternoon to grab a few items that i wanted this being the last day off the ad and i got extremely lucky... they were slow as can be and they had already priced their sally hansen products... so i was just going to grab a couple of new bottles of polish and low and behold the $5 kept rolling... i got 3 bottles of one type of polish for only .86 with tax and a different 3 types of polish for only .55 with tax... and the girl behind the counter told me take my time and go help myself to as much nail polish as i wanted to buy ... so i did... it was awesome and i still have a $5 sally hansen coupon to start with again tomorrow when it officially goes on sale .. i am going to have some pretty nails lol
Thanks for sharing that the Sally Hansen deal is rolling, Robin!
I was at Walgreens tonight and they have a deal if you buy 2 Hershey's products (Reese's coupon) you get a FREE 20 oz Coke product. There is a sign posted in the candy isle. Not sure when it ends.
couple things I am confused on here:
one is the sally hansen. the coupon matchups would require you to be buying 4, not 3 yes?
and the aussie, that is 99 cents each correct?
ahhhh why is walgreens so tempting this week!?! UGH.
THANKS SO MUCH TARA!!
I headed to Walgreens nice and early today, I went to a different one then I usually go to and boy am I happy I did because they were so much nicer, 2 cashiers even I said I was a smart shopper, lol.

Great job, Erika!
Sati, I'm just listing various coupons available to work the Sally Hansen deal. You can buy just 3 as outlined. The Aussie should say $0.99 ea., so I'll fix that.
Can i use the $5 sally hansen coupon w/ 3 more sally hansen coupons?
Uggh... Walgreens totally hates coupon users. I wasn't allowed to do multiple transactions so I just left it be with buying 3 Sally Hansen polishes with 3 of the $1/1 coupons combined with a RR I had. (Cashier wouldn't let the people ahead of me do multiple transactions either)
Important note: my cashier called over the mgr when she saw the RR and was saying that RR can't be used on sale items because it makes it "too cheap"... mgr voided and re-did the transaction and said it was perfectly fine so I ended up with the $5 off for next Sally Hansen purch and paying 81 cents for 3 polishes. *eyeroll* So watch out for cashiers who think coupons are highway robbery.
I don't even really bother with walgreens currently because they are just sooo rude to couponers. I feel your pain PP
I'm looking at my ad but I don't understand how you get $5 RR on Sally Hansen. Is it a L'Oreal product? Frustrated... :)
I'm lucky the cosmetics lady that I swear to god lives at Walgreens is who I always go to for my transactions. She actually enjoys watching how much I get back and how much I spend. The other one however who is always there is nasty and mean to me. She tries talking me out of using my coupons and tries convincing me (not like oh this is on sale today) for the products they get like 5 cents for each they sell. Today I bough glade candles on clarence and she was actually upset I wouldnt buy the 2 oz. ones instead. That being said a $1 RR still printed for the Glade Candles....
Tara,
Can the $3 coupon from Thermacare.com be use with the Thermacare deal or does Walgreens not allow overage?
I didn't know the glade RRs were still going on. Can someone give me the low-down (what Glade products, and when does this end?)
Thanks!
Oops. That coupon is for 2 ct. or larger. Sorry about that!
Confused about the Aussie deal. It doesn't make sense.
Katie, you buy two Aussie products at $2.99. You use the $2/2 coupon making your total $3.98. You'll receive $2 in RRs back, so your final total would be $1.98 or $0.99 each.
You may only earn RRs once per deal per transaction at Walgreens, so that's why you're not earning $4 in RRs.
I noticed in the my online ad that Samy Hair Products are Buy 1, Get 1 Free. I have seen at some Walgreens, Try Me Free Rebates on e-sen-cia (it's in a brown bottle). I would never pay $7.99 for a bottle of shampoo, but I figured since I get my money back, I would try it. I just saw a couple last week still, so after the Mail-In-Rebate, it would be like getting two for Free. Lately, if I can't seem to find a use for my RRs that I prefer, I look for some of those tags, why not try something new...
There is a printable Sudafed coupon on their website also, if you didn't get the other ones in the inserts (like me!).
Question on the .pdf coupons, like the thermacare - can I print out more than one (my printer que pops up, and I can select as many prints as I want) or is there a similar issue with there being only one code, so if you print, the manufacturer only reimburses one for each number? (Like the other coupons where there are print limits, where each print has it's own unique number)?
Does this make sense? I just want to make sure I can go back multiple times on the thermacare deal, TIA~!
Check out the new Walgreens booklet available here

Some of these coupons will work great with this weeks medicine deal.
Jenny, you can print PDF coupons multiple times.
I just tried to buy the BIC soleil razor using a $3 coupon and my $1 RR didn't print. When I asked about it I was told by 2 cashiers and a manager that you can't use a coupon to get RRs because "its already on sale" and since the register didn't print it, there was nothing they could do. I returned it and was told they couldn't give me the coupon back, so they gave me cash! Is there a specifc corporate policy that I can have with me to prove that I can use a coupon for a sale item? And were they really supposed to give me cash back?
Thanks!
Beth Anne, you're the second person that's contacted me with this issue this week (different items though). As far as I know the stores can't set their own policies, but it seems odd that it's not an isolated event.
If any of you that experience this could please write to or call customer service and report back on what you find out, I'm sure it would be helpful for everyone.
I think they were correct in giving you the full amount back. That's what generally happens when you do a return at a later date.
I had this problem a while ago when I was doing a Huggies deal. Their RR machine was broken so I asked for the manager to manually get me an RR that I should have received. She tried to tell me that you can't use coupons and get an RR at the same time. THIS IS NOT TRUE!
I called customer service and they told me that this manager was wrong. They had the store manager, where I had this problem, call me and talk to me about the issue. Again he told me that the manager that had told me this was wrong. He promised me that it wouldn't happen again.
So, if this happens to you I'd do a few things.
1. Did you buy the right item. There have been a few time when I have grabbed the wrong product so always double check the size, count, etc.
2. Did you use a register reward from the same RR deal you are trying to complete ? This can be easy to get mixed up sometimes. For example, the Medicine RR Deal this week has several different products to purchase but all of them are from the same deal so you can't roll RR between these products.
3. Is the RR machine broken? This has happened to me several times, so always ask. You have the right to those RR's!
4. Ask for the Store Manager. If you said no to all of the above I would ask for the store manager. I am lucky to have a great store manager who seems to have all the answers! Hopefully they can help you.
5. Call Walgreens Corporate Customer Service. If the manager insists you can't use coupons and still receive a Register Reward you need to call Corporate and report this as it is not right. Here is the number 1-800-925-4733.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your super helpful comment, Natasha! I've never had this particular problem, so I was hoping that someone that has encountered it personally and contacted customer service about it would speak up.
If you have the K-Mart Coupon Booklet (with up to $62 savings), there is a Sally Hansen $1 off manufacturer's coupon in the booklet that can be used at Walgreens, I tried mine yesterday and it worked. (They had more booklets out on Monday when I went to K-mart, so I had to snag a couple more).
Well I called the 800 number that Natasha gave and the rep that I talked to affirmed that using a coupon makes the Register Reward fail to print! When I asked if this was a new policy, she said that it had always been that way. I didn't really have anything else to say, as this was my first time trying to use RRs...and it is looking like it will be my last! This is why I love Rite Aid so much more - I have never had any problems stacking store and manufacturer's coupons, and the Single Check Rebate program is a piece of cake!!
I am supposed to be contacted by the manager of the store I went to, but I don't know what else they will tell me, if the corporate office backed up what I was told yesterday.
I just called corporate too and they told me the same thing they told you Beth. From my experience Walgreens does have coupon policy issues and this just goes to show they do. Anyhow I asked the representative to have someone "higher up" call me about this.
How can they tell me that you can't do this when I went to Walgreens today and used the $3.00 Bic coupon and received a Register Reward for it? I have never had a problem with using a manufacturer coupon and my register reward printing; unless their machine was broken, or I did something wrong. So why are people like Beth not receiving theirs? Why are the RR machines doing one thing but corporate is saying another? Hopefully someone "higher up" can give me some answers.
Beth Anne,
I don't suppose there's a lot you can do if you contacted corporate and they gave you the answer that you did, but I almost always use coupons when purchasing items that generate Register Rewards and receive those Rewards with no problem.
After much frustration for a long time now, I have decided to significantly cut back on my Walgreens shopping and take my business elsewhere ( shout out to CVS LOL) where the rewards system is more customer friendly.
Other item to note: I did purchase 3 of the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails polishes today for 1.38 each and was able to use a $5 Sally Hansen RR that I earned last week as well as 2 of the $1 off Sally Hansen product coupons AND the $5 RR printed since the deal is rolling!!! I did have other product in the transaction to absorb the overage.
I went to Wags tonight and was told by the cashier and the manager on duty that they will nolonger take internet printable coupons unles they have the Wags logo. Has anyone else expierenced this recently?
Wow People!!! And I thought my Wags around here were BAD!!! I'm sorry places have to be like this!!! It really stinks because Wags has some really great deals!!! I left Wags oneday almost crying because of the way they treated me over using coupons. My Boyfriend was PI**ED OFF to say the least!!! Everytime I go in there now he's right next to me and boy they are as nice as they can be!!! LOL
Question about the Sally Hansen deal:
Can anyone verify if the nail polish is the only thing that will generate the RRs?
Another site was reporting differently.
Thank you!
I was contacte by the manager of the store I went to and told that they were wrong about the coupon policy, they would accept manufacurer's coupons to get RRs, and they would give me the razors for free.
I'm guessing this means that the manager was contacted by coorporate after I called, and that the rep that told me you couldn't use coupons to get RRs was wrong also. All around good news I think!
Beth,
That is great news. I wonder if we talked to the same lady who was newly trained?
I haven't been contacted yet. I plan to call them again tomorrow. I talked to my store manager, whom I absolutely love, he said that the service rep at corporate must not have understood what I was talking about. They were wrong to tell me I couldn't use a manufacturer coupon and receive a RR.
I sure wish Walgreens would do a better job of training their employees!
I called corporate the other day and she told me you COULD NOT use a coupon and get a RR...
But this lady was at her house, not a Walgreens Corporate Office like I was thinking...Maybe these people just aren't informed...And answer off the top off their heads to sound like they are "in the know". JMHO
LOL, you could tell she was at her house? That's a HUGE no-no. I used to work for West at home taking customer service calls, and nothing could get you fired faster than a customer being able to tell you weren't actually in an office -- and you can imagine how hard that was a kids.
I just wanted to post that the store manager called me from Walgreens and stated that they do accept IP coupons if they scan correctly, she stated they were told incorrectly and she would issue me a $25 gift certificate because of my inconvenience. I picked up the gift certificate on Saturday and went back last night when the same cashier told me “we do not take copies of coupons or IP coupons”, I said please call your manager. Needless to say, they accepted my coupons with no problem. They need to have a training session on coupons!!
Tara...She told me sorry 10 times because her kids were so loud I could bearly hear her...But for real, I think they just need to have 1 BIG Walgreens coupons and RR meeting...To inform all their employees of the rules...That way you don't have 20 employees at 1 store making 20 different rules.
