greg - walmart cashiers can price match an item in 2 ways - 1 being an override code, this is how they are supposed to do it. the other being the lazy way where they just type in the price and hit a department button. if they did it the right way coupons would work. if they did it the lazy way the coupon wouldnt work. unfortunately walmart coupon policy says they wont except a net coupon that doesnt scan... and if you had a lazy cashier which i think you prob did, the coupon wouldnt see the purchase... whenever you do something like this go to the cashier who gets thru fastest - good walmart cashiers always have great ipm's (item per minute) and they will do it right... the lazy ones dont care about their job.....

how do i know - I was a csm at walmart for 3 years!

used 2 printed coupons at the Toys R Us in Times Square, NYC of all places and had no problems... what a great way to donate toys without breaking the bank.

Toys R Us were sold out (tried three stores) Walmart matched the price but could not accept the coupon. The register would print a document stating the coupon did not match the item purchased. Tried at two stores. What is up with that?

The TRU in Birmingham (Hoover), AL ran out, so I took the ad to Walmart... They acknowledged the price but would not accept coupon, said it had to be one or the other...

i took the toys r us ad to wal mart they priced matched it for 3.99 and then i asked if i could use 5.00 off coupon and they took it, paid only72 cents in tax, keeping one and donating other 2

My local Dollar General store (zip code 72801) has Mr. Potato Head on sale for $2.50. Making him .50 with the coupon.

Kristy : It also happened to me too but they did encourage people to use the disney snow white printable coupon! Well I have used the couopons for Tinker bell too there(since it's Disney)Leapfrog shouldnt be any different , they come from a reputable source(leapfrog!).

Just came back from TRU -- this is a Doorbuster Deal starting at 3:00pm today. Manager said they would not honor it eventhough the shelves are already labeled. Grrr.

The store in Madison, WI told me that Toys R Us no longer accepts coupons printed from the web. They need to have the name Toys R Us on them in order to use them. I learned this when trying to use a manufacturer's coupon from Leap Frog. Maybe this is only a "Madison" thing.
