I’m not that familiar with Toluna Survey Panel personally, but they came up quite frequently when I recently asked DSM readers about their favorite survey sites. From what I gather, you earn points for taking surveys and sharing your opinions that can be redeemed for gift cards, monthly sweepstakes tickets, or cash payments.
If this sounds like something you’d like to try, fill out the Toluna application now to get started. If you have experience with Toluna, I’d love to hear your feedback in the comments!
BTW, it looks like Pinecone Research is still open right now, so be sure to apply there if you haven’t already as well.

I love Toluna, they are easy to take surveys. They don’t send you 239843 emails a day either. A very straight forward company to work with.

I’ve been with Toluna for quite a long time. They’ve got many survey opportunities. I also suggest you joining Crowdtap. You earn cash rewards for answering polls. Easy money, no long surveys to take.
Kelly
Every time I get an email and go to take the survey it says they have reached the # of participates needed. I check emai several times a day.

Toluna used to be My Two Cents and then they merged with Greenfield Online. The great thing about Toluna is that you get credit for prequalifiers on their site. They have minisurveys that ask if you have a cell phone or if you’ve gone to the movies type questions that can lead to a full survey, however if they don’t you still get the 30 points for answering a single question. It makes it convenient to just pop in an answer questions(although they will also email you qualifiers that you WON’T get credit for if you don’t qualify). The cashout is a bit high. 60,000 = $20 or 75,000 = gift card to varying places or $23 visa gift card. I’ve earned the 60,000 to cash out for $20 plus an additional 30,000 so far this year with minimal effort. While Toluna isn’t my favorite money earning survey site it is a way to earn a couple of extra Christmas dollars.

I agree, Kelly. Even if I get the email and immediately go to the survey site – I always get a message saying they’ve had enough participants. This isn’t a site I’d recommend.
Steve
I agree with Kelly and Valerie, My wife was on My Two Cents also. I was on Toluna It was ok But Greenfield came along. My wife quit because of the low points and and very low cash. I kept getting these offers of 70 to 250 points – $7.00 to $25.00 for a ” Completed Survey” and would start to take what they said would be a 10 to 30 min. survey. Sure , 20 to 45 min later 65 to 75 % completed by their indicator, it would kick out and say ” Sorry you do not quilify for this survey. ” or ” Sorry your group is full.” After this happened a few times I questioned them and they said I should do more qualifiers so they would have enough info on me. But when I checked I was up to date. For 4 months I cashed out for $9.80 and quit. You should watch this company. We are both still doing surveys for long time companies that we have never had any problem with . p.s I beleive Dollar Surveys is part of this company…

Thanks Steve, could you tell me which sites you like better.
Thanks
Steve
My wife loves PineCone. They are quick , no trouble with ” Not Qualifying” and you are paid $3.00 per survey. The check is there in 3 to 4 days. And they pay then, they do not mak you accumulate to cash in. Someweeks she gets 3 to 5 checks. She has some others but she is out right now. I use Surveyhead they are good on being fair , pay varies , you accumulate $25.00 but you have choises of how you get it. I have had a Paypal Account for years so I just have it put in there. (Then blow it on e-bay , lol) I tried DollarSurvey but they have very few REAL SURVEYS” when you sign up they are ok 3 to 6 min. $1.00 that is all they pay. But you get quite a few at first . But I did about 18 for them and was paid for 3. They use pay pal also. Most are where they redirect you to some crap site where you have to give them all your info and agree to receive an offer from “one of our trusted partners.” Then in about 30 min. your mail box starts to fill with CRAP that is from every body in the world. I kid you not I made that mistake one time. The next morning I had 329 Crap e-mails ( I call them crap e-mails because of the companies that send them out , And if you put spam on a grill with sauce and stuff you can eat spam.) They all said I had requested their info, so I maked them as spam and sent them to my carrier and deleated the 1st one and did not paid for any pending surveys. You have to watch because there are some great companies out here BUT there are alot of bad ones. And When I see one that keeps telling you all thru their spill that they are the most honest , fair and trustworthy, most highly rated in the industry , I go the other way. One other thing you can do is look in your pantry and take items that you use know and trust. Call the company, ask for customer care, or marketing , tell them you are trying to supplement your income and you want to do surveys and product testing, could they pass your info to their survey or testing company in must cases they are happy to hear from you “The people that buy their products and sign the pay checks.” My wife and I do Product testing and company specific surveys, and we receive cards from very nice resteraunts and fast food places. We eat for free and send in reports on everything from the food to the emploies service and such. I can not list the specific companies because of signed agreements , but they are out there. good luck.Sorry this ran so long, but We had to learn the hard way I hope this let you know what to look for.

For those being kicked off through the email qualifiers, have you tried going directly to the site to answer questions?
I have found that I almost always get invited to a full survey worth several thousand points by doing this.
I don’t bother with the email invitations for what many you above are expressing frustration about. It’s just all around easier to go to the site at your own convenience do some sponsored polls which will at least net you some points.

It seems to work just the opposite for me. If I am invited to a survey through one of the sponsored polls on the Toluna site, I would qualify, complete the entire survey, click the confirmation, and then it’d never show on my survey list. Poof! Vanished like it never happened. After it continued to occur, I stopped and now only click on the email links which work much better for me.
Also, the pay-out level was raised from a reasonable 45,000 pts to a whopping 75,000 pts. However, in their favor, my ordered gift card showed up in the mail in just a few days.
Steve
Oh yes , I was doing the surveys . just didn’t get paid.
Jane
I have tried a few different sites and found surveyspot to be the best. By going directly to the site you have a better opportunity to get into surveys that you qualify for. They also have one of the better payout systems and have recently go to paypal rather than checks.
PointSpecial
One thing I don’t like about Toluna is that they’ve gotten AWAY form Paypal. I was part of a credit card study there for several months and got $5 per month for that, plus bonuses at certain break points, so I’ve cashed out about $100 over the last year and a half… but I really don’t like getting paid by check. I put my survey money in a specific online account and so now I’ll have to make a special trip to the bank and transfer the money. I’m now done with that study… I’m going to have to decide if I want to stay with them. I also came over from my2cents and there have been some improvements… but without Paypal, it makes things difficult for me.
Steve
I know what you mean about the checks, PointSpecial. I like the paypal my self. Being retired now we get our deposits the first. But all of my surveys go to paypal or target cards. She gets amazon cards , pine cone checks . But our bank branch is on our way to any where so it’s no biggie to go there. In fact my favorite pizza is next to it. Hey it’s lunch time , think Iwill go to the bank.
