by Tara Kuczykowski on November 9, 2009 · 36 comments

FREE Rayovac Batteries
Just in time for the holidays, Target has restocked the Dollar Spot with the $1 Rayovac Batteries. Batteries for a dollar is pretty remarkable by itself, but there was a $1 off Rayovac Batteries coupon in the 10/18 Smartsource insert that will make them FREE after coupon!

Rayovac Batteries, $1 (Dollar Spot)
$1/1 Rayovac Batteries, exp. 12-31-09 (SS 10/18/09)
$1/2 Rayovac Alkaline or Hearing Aid Batteries, exp. 1-31-10 (SS 11/8/09)
As low as FREE after coupon!

There are tons of these coupons available on eBay, or you could purchase them from any of the coupon cutting sites listed here.

I also got 40 coupons from Ebay. I was prepared to pay tax but my total was $0.00. I did pay $6.00 for the coupons. After replacing all of my kids toys that needed batteries, I gave the rest to my sons daycare for all the toys there. Jean

Thanks for the head's up! The last time these were available, I bought a ton with coupons from Ebay and have discovered these batteries do not last very long. Perhaps that's why they are in the $1 bins? Not sure. But a FREE battery is better than not having any at all. Thanks again!

I got a couple of packages a few months ago, the first time this deal came out... the batteries are gone already, because they don't last long. Free is Free, but they are not a quality battery! FWIW

Quick question. Is this just for AA's or are they stocking AAA's as well, because we could really use AAA's.

Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the post. Eldra, I buy from http://www.couponsthingsbydede.com/ I've been ordering for about 6 mos and havent had any problems. Once I was sent the wrong qs, but I emailed her and told her and I had the correct qs in the mail the next day, plus a $1 credit for my next order. I would recommend her to anyone.

Our Target in Little Rock had 2-packs of alkaline batteries and 4-packs of heavy duty batteries.

Eldra,

I purchase from couponcarryout.com or from couponthingsbydede. I have always received fast and courteous service from both sites.

Ms. Eldra, I order from many different people and never had a problem with any of the E-bayers. I deal alot with mycouponhunter, couponbayusa, melsmart, neighborhoodwatch09, mycatspaw but mostly I use melsmart and mycouponhunter and mycouponhunter has her own web-site http://www.mycouponhunter.com. You can buy from 1 to 50 coupons at one time for different things. I like hers alot. Good luck and i can't wait to get me some batteries and my coupons will be here Saturday. Have a great day to all

Our coupon in St. Louis area papers was for $1/2 packages. I still bought them but I paid $.50 a package, which is not a terrible deal. My store only had double AA's and D cells in the dollar bins. I used mine in my camera and so far they seem to be holding up just fine. Batteries in digital cameras don't seem to last long anyway no matter what brand I buy.

Are the $ 1/1 coupons for the rayovac alkaline batteries or do they specify? The last time I did this deal, the coupon said any alkaline or hearing aid battery. I'd sure like to be able to do this deal and get some of the heavy duty batteries instead. Can anyone comment as to the stipulations listed on the coupon?

The coupon does say rayovac alkaline or hearing aid batteries. I did not realize this and used them on the heavy duty at my target and they went through fine.

I went to the target here with 40 coupons. I got 1 pack of the heavy duty and took it to the service desk and told them that I wanted to see if the register would accept the coupon for the heavy duty ones and not just the alkeline ones. Voila, it took the coupon. So I went and got C's, D's, 9-volts, AA's and AAA's. The AAA's and AA's came in a 4-pack instead of a 2-pack and the 9-volts came in a 2-pack instead of a single. So I went the the register and when all 40 was went thru and coupons scanned , I paid (drumroll please) $2.80. With $2.25 that I paid for the coupons, including shipping, I spent a total of $4.05. Now , mind you that alkiline is supposed to be a more better battery and better for electronics, you will only get 2 of the A's and 1 9-volt. But since the kids and some adults leave the items on and drain the batteries, why not go for the cheaper and get more. I did use all the coupons at one time. Talk to ya'll later and good luck

I have used http://www.couponsthingsbydede.com and do not recommend it. I was sent the wrong order, then when I requested faster shipping (deal was expiring that next week for about $100 worth of goods) and even offered to pay the difference in shipping, I was flat out denied and told to not use the site anymore because complaints are not worth her time.

I absolutely LOVE coupondede! I have had a problem two times out of about the 20-25 times I've ordered from her. The first time I was sent the wrong q's. I emailed her(like her site return policy says) and not only did I get a credit for her sending the wrong q's but she resent my q's and i got them within two days. The second time I had a problem, some of the barcode was missing off of a target q. I figured that because majority was intact, i would be fine. Not so, I got to the register and it wouldnt scan and because the cashier couldnt read the numbers, they couldnt take it. At this time, i'd waited about two weeks before I tried to use it. I simply emailed dede, explained to her the situation(along with a pic of the coupon) and I was again issued a credit and resent the coupons promptly. So Im not sure what the situation was with Ken, but I highly recommend her for purchasing coupons.

Does it depend on location as to whether cashiers will accept so many products at once? I've read online of several people who did not have that kind of luck at Target, but were told that they could not "buy" that many at once. I've also read other problems with coupons there. If you have a certain cashier you've used before successfully, I suggest continuing to use that same one, and get to know him/her, also!
Are there certain times they'll take multiple coupons of the same product? and other times they won't?
