General Mills Cocoa Puffs, $1.99 (price match Walgreens ad)
$1/1 Cocoa Puffs printable
$1/1 General Mills Target printable, exp. 9/13/09
FREE after coupons!
(Thanks, Common Sense With Money!)
Note that Target does their price matching at the customer service desk, so you’ll want to bring your Walgreens ad, and keep your coupons and items separate. The Walgreens ad has a limit of 4, so Target will likely hold you to that limit.
You can get other varieties of General Mills cereal very cheap with the price matching using the same Target coupon and any of the General Mills printables here , here, or here.

Aren’t you really only supposed to use one Target coupon per transaction? I’ve never tried using more than one…
Tara Kuczykowski
Melanie, the coupons do state one per transaction; however, customer service allows the stores to have the final say on this matter. I’ve never had a store around here tell me I couldn’t use more than one, but I know I’ve had readers tell me that their stores won’t allow it. It’s definitely worth a try though!
Oh, and to make it even more confusing, sometimes it will vary by cashier, so you may want to make another attempt if you’re denied.
Denisse
Tara,
Can I take the printed walgreens ad you show on the link or does it have to be the “paper” ad?
Dizzy Mommy
Personally for me Ive found it is based on the cashier you go to. When I go to Target now I make sure I go to one specific cashier (she even knows who I am). I’ve even gone in to do large transactions realized shes not there and left…. seriously. It took me alot of trial and error…but now things are pretty easy at Target.
esther
so do you get a price match first at customer service and then bring that to cashier to pay or do you pay first and then get your money back at customer service desk? I’ve never done a price match at target before, not sure if you pay your items at the same time or they will give you a slip for the price of the items and then you go ring it up.
Tara Kuczykowski
Esther, from what I’ve read, they just ring the whole price match transaction separately at customer service for you.
michelle
the target coupon is for $1 off 2 boxes.

“Aren’t you really only supposed to use one Target coupon per transaction? I’ve never tried using more than one…”
It varies by cashier. This is way more trouble than it’s worth IMO. I don’t know why Target doesn’t just let you use more than one per transaction. I’ve stopped going there because they are such pains in the butt when it comes to coupons.
Gwen
I think they changed the coupon…I know there used to be a $1 off 1, now it is $1 off 2…
Dizzy Mommy
there are two coupons, a $1/2 and a $1/1…
Dizzy Mommy
Oh, I forgot to point out there was a .50/1 cookie crisp in the 8/2 SS… not free but if you can get it for .50 thats a pretty good deal.

Hi,
I printed $1/1 target General Mills coupons this morning using this link. The coupons expire on 9/12/09

I went to target at lunch. I was not happy with the selection of Fiber One cereal, but I did get 3 boxes of cereal and 2 boxes of Fiber One Bars. The cashier allowed me to use 3 -$1.00 Target General Mills coupons for the cereal and 5 -$.75 Fiber One coupons. My total was $5.25 OOP plus I received a $5.00 target gift card. Not too bad :)
Kellie
where are you getting the .75 off fiber one cereal? I am not seeing it?!?!?
Tara Kuczykowski
Kellie, when you click through the link, click on Big G Cereals under Top Brands in the left column. This will sort all of the General Mills coupons to the top, and you’re looking for the $0.75 off Big G Cereals coupon.

The $1.00/1 Target General Mills Cereal coupon works on the General Mills individual cereal cups found in the cereal aisle. They’re normally priced $1.00/1 but are on sale this week for $.95 each. With this coupon they’re FREE… they come in Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios… FREE is wonderful!
Brooke
I was looking at the KMart ad and they have select General Mills cereal on sale for $1.88. With the two coupons, I think that would be better than free. Correct me if I’m wrong Tara. However, I haven’t been in to try it yet so I’m not sure what Target would say about the “select” part of the KMart ad.
Tara Kuczykowski
Thanks, Brooke! But I think the best we can do is free since the policy states that they will not give cash back if the coupon is greater than the price of the item.

There are a few really good cereals out there that contain plenty of fiber, fiber can be a bad thing though if you have to much, that’s why more guidance needs to be made and manufacturers of say cereals need to do what is right and make them more healthy. It isn’t hard to get the amount we need, loads of food has it like bread and some rices.
