Introducing the Expanded Grocery Grab for 2010!

by Tara Kuczykowski on January 4, 2010 · 33 comments

Today, with the help of these amazing bloggers, I'm launching an expanded Grocery Grab to make your deal seeking even easier.

Each week, we'll be featuring the complete deal listings + coupon matchups for these 10 stores, which you all voted as your favorites in the poll we did a few months back. I hope to continue to expand and bring you more stores over time, but here are the ones we're starting with:

I'll also continue to bring you CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid deals plus the newly added Discount Drug Mart.

To make sure that the information we're providing meets your needs, I do have a quick poll for you about including the expiration dates in coupon matchups. (Please note that you may need to click here in order to view the poll if you're reading this by email or feed reader.)

Merry Christmas to all of my wonderful readers!

I hope you have a happy and blessed day surrounded by friends and family. Thank you so much for all of your contributions to this site. Deal Seeking Mom wouldn't be half the resource it is without you!

We've been hard at work to make Tara's vision for an Online Coupon Codes and Deals section of the site a reality, and we're excited to give you a sneak peek today! Although they won't officially launch until Black Friday so that we have time to tweak and finalize them, we wanted to give you all an opportunity to see what we've been working on and offer your feedback .

We'll be expanding over time, but so far we've listed 23 different stores -- including Target, Fisher-Price, Buy.com and Red Envelope -- with the hottest deals and coupon codes to help you stretch your budget this holiday season and throughout the year.

We'd love it if you could poke around and then come back and share your thoughts in the comments so that we can make it an even better resource for your holiday shopping needs:

  • Did you find the index page easy to use?
  • What other stores would you like to see included?
  • Did all of the links work for you?
  • Do you have any suggestions to make it better?

Blogger Tools: Deal Seeking Mom Coupon Database

by Tara Kuczykowski on November 17, 2009 · 6 comments

We've highlighted the features of the Deal Seeking Mom Coupon Database, your Personal Coupon Box and the new Submit a Coupon feature already, and today, I want to tell you about some of the features we've built into the database specifically for bloggers:

Blogging Format

Every coupon listing in the database also includes a blogging format -- including value, description, expiration date and source -- ready for you to copy and paste as part of your weekly store deals.

Link to Search

Use the "Link to Search" feature to link to search results rather than having to copy and paste each coupon. Link to the results for the weekly newspaper insert or for a certain product search.

To use:
1. Perform your search as usual.
2. When the results load, click the "Link to Search" link.
3. Copy the URL from the address bar and paste it into your post.

Embeddable iFrame

Want to provide your readers with a embedded database on your blog? Follow these instructions to embed the Coupon Database as an iframe so that they never have to leave your site!

As a blogger herself, Tara has worked to design a database that works not just for deal seekers but for bloggers as well. We continue to add additional features and would love to hear your feedback on how we can make it better. Please email us with any questions or suggestions!

This week, we're excited to unveil a new feature on the Deal Seeking Mom Coupon Database that allows each of you to submit coupons to the database. Working together, we can make sure that the database becomes one of the most complete resources on the web for matching available coupons with weekly store deals!

To submit a coupon, you must be a registered user (signup takes just a minute!) so that we can track submissions by email address. At the end of each month, we'll draw a winner from the list of approved coupons to receive a $25 Amazon.com eGift Certificate!!

To submit coupons:

1. Register now.

2. Search the Coupon Database for the coupons in your stash.

3. Read the instructions next to each field on the Submit a Coupon page.

4. Enter coupon information and hit submit.

That's it! You'll receive credit for every valid coupon you submit (duplicates already in the database won't be counted), and we'll choose a winner at the end of each month!

Please email us with any questions or suggestions!
