NEVER got my duracell rewards. 2 packs for 2 weeks. Friend same thing. (8 total packs - over 125 dollars!!) Supposed to be FREE!!! NO online support. NO response to e-mail. Hours and hours on phone with No answer from a human...

thanks so much for the help ladies.. I signed up in store several months ago--bought wedding invites there---never received a reward/statement or anything. I'll be giving them a call tomorrow to make sure they have my address/maybe I can get a "courtesty coupon"-- I sure know I spent enough to get one.

Note that Staples will not issue any rewards if they don't have an address on file for you. Apparently, when you sign up for a new Staples Rewards card they give you the card, but it's of no use until you call them to provide your address.

Also, if you provide an address after you have used the card for a purchase that should generate a reward, you will not automatically get that reward. I had to call them and tell them the whole story at which point they issued some kind of "courtesy coupon" (which I haven't actually received yet) in the amount of the original reward.

To summarize - call and ensure they have an address for you and make sure that the reward you should be getting for your battery purchase is recognized.

I have been on hold for FOREVER with the rewards department. If you, like me, used Staples Rewards money to pay for your batteries, your order is not eligible for staples rewards. I whined enough that they are issuing me a one time one.
From their site- "Qualifying Purchase Amount is the amount paid at checkout after application of all promotions, coupons and Rewards redemption" My Sharpie deal and batteries combined within a couple cents of my previous quaters rewards, I was so excited; too good to be true:(

Nope. The might offer gift card or rewards credit for return, but they won't give cash back for an item purchased with Rewards certificate.

When do I get my Rewards Certificate? Waiting on $71.94 here.

What would happen if you used the "rewards" 12.98 check for the batteries and bought another item say for $15, then returned the item?
Would they give you a full refund, in effect, cash back for the batteries?

carolyn, I ordered last night at 9:30pm, found Sharpies that were still in stock and over $25 worth. Well, some were gone by the time I got the email confirmation and all but one item was gone in the order that customer service had when I called. The deal is apparently now dead and they have no Sharpies left. So eventhough I ordered $25 worth in my cart and the deal was supposedly still active, no go...

Paula, they offer a percentage of every purchase in Staples rewards. at the end of the quarter if you're over $10 they send you the rebate that can be used at STaples within a certain period of time. They offer promotions that give you more rewards, like the batteries at 100% Staples rewards, or sometimes you'll see the boxes of paper with 10 or 20% rewards. The main thing is that you get the percentage on everything purchased, online or in store. Shipping to the store is free :D

I just tried place an order for the sharpies and I was told that the offer was no longer any good and that they had the add in a lot of places and they were trying to remove them all and that if I looked on the main page it said it was no longer available. I emailed a complaint and then went back to the main page and the offer was still on there. This is advertising fraud and I wish I knew who to contact, because that illegal. I love Staples the store but I have always had problems with staples.com.

Sorry I am still a bit confussed. Do these rewards only work with items online or are they somthing you pick up in the stores? How are they on shipping? Sounds like Michelle really finds it to be a good value.

Heartland Hannah I believe the regular sales ads run Sunday-Saturday.

I have been a rewards member for almost a year. I took advantage of signing up for the e-rewards promotion and only wait about 3 weeks now to receive any type of rewards, whether it be for ink recycling or other purchases. I have been very happy with all my purchases made at Staples and prefer their customer service and coupon friendly attitude as to other stores. I have nothing but positive things to say about them.

The cyber Monday deals are supposed to start now according to the email I received from Staples and I did order the keyboards and dvd/cd sets from the sale successfully last night but I also could not get the sharpie coupon to work no matter what I did. However the 24 pack set is sold out already so some people must have figured it out - that or they ordered them anyway and figured Staples would come through after the fact.

On the batteries, it's not a cyber Monday promo so it will work now. The big question I have is how do they define "week"? Does every week start on a certain day like Sunday or Monday or do you need to wait 8 days from the last battery order? I've looked all over and cannot find the answer to that one.

Tara, on the Staples website it says that the Cyber Monday deals are good Sun 6 am through Monday midnight ET. I ordered them with the batteries and I'm praying that they'll honor it. Now I just have to remember to call them tomorrow or Tuesday.
