This week at Safeway, strawberries are on sale for B1G2 FREE! Many Just for U members will find a special price on strawberries at $2.49/lb on their club card as well.
That would be a great deal all by itself, but for some reason, the strawberries are actually ringing up at 3 lbs. for just $0.99 total, which is a price that really can't be beat!
Like bananas, you can freeze strawberries to use in smoothies and baked goods. You can also make homemade freezer jam!

I saw that deal on another blog, but when I stopped into my Safeway last night they said they weer B1B1, not 2. :(

Safeway is owned by TomThumb. I just called the Tom Thumb in McKinney Texas and they have Strawberries on sale for $1.77 lbs. Not sure what area this sale is going on in, but I wish it was the Dallas area!
They also had strawberries for $.99/lb at Aldi's here in MI.
