I've been in the test market for the Wellness program and have been loving it. In addition to earning points, you get additional coupons, both online and on your receipts. I've still been able to get the SCRs and all the other deals.

I really hope they don't change anything because it's been making shopping at Rite Aid fun.

Terri,

From what I understand, this program is not replacing the SCR program, but is an addition to it.

I'm pretty sure that the points will accumulate based on your final price (post coupons). However, you will still be able to accumulate points since you are paying money OOP at the register for the rebate (SCR) items.

From what I hear, the best part of the program is the additional sale items and coupons that print at the bottom of the receipt when you use your card. I just signed up for the card, and I was able to print a coupon for $5 off a $25 purchase.

I hope that helps answer your questions :-).

i'm guessing the wellness card would be similar to CVS' extra care card - without it, you wouldn't get the deals/sale prices advertised.

Is this new program supposed to take the place of their extremely popular rebate program? If so, that would be very bad. Also, is their point system is based on pre-coupon or post-coupon pricing? As a regular and consistent shopper at Rite-Aid, and a coupon queen, I could shop all year and not hit $125, yet still walk out with bags and bags or free or nearly free stuff. So what's this program supposed to to for us?
