Regional Coupon: BOGO Purex (Makes for FREE Detergent at CVS)

by Tara Kuczykowski on April 15, 2009 · 80 comments

BOGO Purex Laundry Detergent CouponIt seems that this coupon is regional based on zip code, but hopefully many of you will be able to print this BOGO Purex Laundry Detergent coupon. Print limit reached now.

If you're lucky enough to be in one of the locales they're targeting (it should show in the upper left column or click household to verify), run to CVS to redeem it for FREE laundry detergent by pairing it with their BOGO sale through Saturday!!!

(Of course you know I had to print it right away so that accounts for the print limit reached on my image, LOL! Thanks, Mercedes!)

Just wanted to post that I did print the coupons off this morning even though I wasn't in the proper region for it.
My husband went to CVS for me earlier this evening because I was busy taking care of the little ones, but to cut the story short, my DH came back with 4 FREE bottles of Purex- no sales tax, either.
Cashier was very nice and gave him no qualms on the coupons- in fact, praised him for finding a great deal. (So THANKS!, Tara!)
Hope more of you are having luck with this coupon.

Does anyone have CVS's BOGO Coupon policy handy that they can email me? I tried the BOGO purex with a BOGo coupo and the cashier wouldn't let me. I explained the manufacturer would reimburse the store but her still wouldn't let me. i email corporate but have yet to get a response. I'd like to get this product before the store's offer passes. Thanks.

I am in North Carolina. I just wanted to say thanks to Tara and her site DealSeekingMom for the tip on the Purex. I ran out to a local CVS today and walked out with my 4 bottles for only 94 cents. Had to pay only the tax! Wish I had more! The cashier was a young guy. He didnt question me at all--just scanned the coupons and my CVS card and let me go. I have to say it was a little exciting(weird right?), and it was almost like I was doing something wrong-lol!!

i tried at my local cvs, with 4 bottles of purex and 2 coupons that i legitimately printed. the cashier said she could only take 1 coupon, and i tried to explain to her that CVS was giving me one for the BOGO sale, and then the manufactuer was paying for the other. she asked the supervisor, who came and told me i was frauding their company!! she asked if i still wanted to get them, and i said not if i can't use the coupons like i should be able to. and then she walked away and ignored me!!

OMG LMFAO!! well anyway, i'm not all bent out of shape about it, but i don't appreciate being humilated in front of a bunch of people. i will email them and or call and see what corporate has to say about it.

Elise, you should call. Many of us have emails directly from the corporate office telling us this is an acceptable deal!

I can't seem to get this coupon, please help

11 Tara Kuczykowski April 16, 2009 at 9:37 pm

The coupon is gone now. It's already reached it's print limit. Sorry everyone!

12 Sharon April 17, 2009 at 8:01 am

On the B1G1 offers-some stores will not take 2 coupons nor will they take a B1G1 coupon with that kind of offer. If you are buying 1 product and getting the 2nd free, you can't use a coupon on the free item-they will not give you money back.

13 Tara Kuczykowski April 17, 2009 at 9:15 am

Sharon, they're not giving you money back on your purchase. But if the stores you're referring to are CVS stores, they're wrong and you should contact customer service. Someone else pasted the email they received above, and it's very similar to the one I receive. It clearly states that when you use a buy one get one coupon with a buy one get one sale at CVS, you should receive both items free. So it's worth a little bit of effort to try and help educate your store.

I have a copy of there policy if you can contact me and let......never mind I can copy and paste it I think....
Dear Ms. Erica Terry,

Thank you for contacting CVS! I have listed below our coupon policy information. Hope this is helpful for you.

CVS/pharmacy does accept manufacturer’s coupons that have been obtained from an approved Web site sponsored by the manufacturer. The coupon should be complete and contain a bar code that can be scanned at the register.

Please feel free to visit and go to the "Save With In-store Coupons" box and click on "start printing now". To print coupons, check the box next to the Clip! icon, (or click "Select All Offers") and then click "Print Now". Please note that these coupons can be redeemed at CVS/pharmacy stores only and all manufacturer requirements must be met.

Our registers are set to allow 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. CVS Extra Buck coupons are earned when you make a qualifying purchase. These print out instantly at the register upon reaching the threshold for the offer. Free coupons or “offers at the register” are unearned and issued to you as a valued member of the CVS/pharmacy ExtraCare program. These coupons take the form of “open ended” coupons such as $3 off $15 or a certain dollar amount off a specific item. In any given transaction our registers will allow only one “open ended” coupon per transaction and more than one Extra Buck coupon provided the purchase threshold has been met for each offer amount on a per-transaction basis.

Thank you again, Ms. Terry, for contacting CVS! We value your patronage and look forward to serving you again soon.

Does anyone have the Purex buy one get one free they can email me? Those are the ones you can't sleep if you miss out.........Thx's

16 Jenni April 17, 2009 at 2:26 pm

I think that emailing the coupons that we've already printed to you would be considered coupon fraud (it would be like copying a coupon, right?), which is why a lot of retailers are not accepting printable coupons anymore.
You'll probably have to put this one in the "I missed it" category, unfortunately.

17 Elise April 17, 2009 at 2:30 pm

ooh guess what? i'm on the phone with CVS right now, and she said IT IS corporate policy to accept BOGO coupons on BOGO sales on the store! She apologized for the manager being rude to me, and asked if I'd still like to use my coupons! I said yes, and I'm on hold right now. I'll update later!

18 Elise April 17, 2009 at 2:38 pm

Ok, the customer service lady called my CVS, and the manager that said I was frauding CVS wasn't there, but the manager on duty already knew that it is coporate policy to accept them, and had he been there he would have accepted it. He's going to make sure the other manager is on the same page, and the customer service lady is forwarding everything to the district manager. And that store manager wants to make sure I get into CVS today and get to use my coupons. wahoooo! I wouldn't have even tried it, unless I knew that it was corporate policy, like I had seen from so many ladies on this forum and the other site I frequent, AFullCup. Thanks for the support, it does pay to call customer service!

my mother doesn't use purex so she gave me her q's. i went back and got 4 more bottles for the price of tax. i didn't have any problems with my cvs, the cashier even asked me where i got my q's and then grabbed her cell phone right there and called someone to print her off some!

21 stacy April 17, 2009 at 7:29 pm

I was lucky enough to get this coupon yesterday, and went to CVS this morning, I got 4 bottles for .084,,,,I walked out of there smiling like a crazy I was so excited. This is a great site. Love it Keep up the great work.

22 Michelle April 17, 2009 at 10:06 pm

PLEASE keep us updated if this coupon comes back (by tomorrow)! You're amazing!

23 Christa April 17, 2009 at 11:49 pm

I heard that Purex will be on sale (BOGO) at Rite Aid soon......not sure when.

24 Dawn April 18, 2009 at 6:34 pm

I told got the slam from CVS. Well they tried anyway. I had a 2 BOGO coupons. The cashier keep telling me that I was a big fraud and there was no way they would take these coupons. Her words were "these are already BOGO so no way am I going to accept these. you won't have to pay anything for these". I replied "my point exactly" and that I do this all the time with no trouble. She finally asked someone (manager maybe) and she told her to just scan it and see if it works. Well, Dahh, it did. So I walked outta there with 4 jugs of Purex and (2) 10 packs of BOGO STALE Wrigleys gum for around $3.00 Guess I had to pay sales tax on my detergent. I emailed CVS corporate about my "satisfying" experience with that crabby cashier.

25 Joanne April 18, 2009 at 6:50 pm

When i went to the site to download the coupon, it had reached its limit. :( This has been happening to me so often, I am wondering if I will ever get some "free" coupons. It is very discouraging.

26 Bonnie April 18, 2009 at 8:51 pm

I got mine, no sales tax here in PA so it came to $0. The manager rang me up and while she didn't aplaud me (I think there was a little eye rolling) she didn't give me any problems either. Yeah, I will love having this around for my rugs, car wash towels and stuff since it really isn't our normal brand!
