Redbox Free Rental Code, Exp. 7/7

by Tara Kuczykowski on July 3, 2009 · 12 comments

FREE Redbox Rental Code

Through 7/7 you can get a free DVD rental at your local Redbox. Simply use code: 7HE79B. This can be used once per debit/credit card, so you can rent more than one for free by using different cards!

Update: I did a little research on the code and it appears it was created to celebrate the launch of Redbox kiosks in H-E-B grocery stores. Lots of people are saying that it's worked elsewhere, but it may or may not work outside of H-E-B. Sorry everyone!

If you've never used DVDONME or BREAKROOM, it looks like those codes are still valid.

Don't forget this Monday is the first Monday of the month, so be sure to check back for a free rental code that will be valid until midnight CST!

Wondering just how exactly to use these Redbox codes? Check out Redbox 101 for step-by-step instructions!

Code didn't work for me - came up as invalid....This is the 3rd code from redbox that has been invalid at my local box...I wonder if it is the box, or the codes???

Thanks anyway - I love this site!!

I just tried this code at our Walmart and County Market Red Boxes here in NW IL. and it did NOT work. I realize that this same code is buzzing around the Internet, but it did NOT work for me.

looks like it might be one that is supermarket specific, maybe HEB?

I tried all 3 codes this evening and none of them worked. That was at the Kroger closest to my house, didn't get the chance to try anywhere else though.

So, might help if it was an acutal RedBox I was trying the codes at... apparently Kroger has something else called DVDPlay which is similar. I was able to get 2 of the codes to work today at the Giant Eagle RedBox I always go to. Looking forward to more free codes! Thanks!

Code worked at Walgreens in MS. You can also use DVDATWAG at Walgreens kiosks if you haven't before or if you are using a different card. =)
