I tried this code yesterday and it wouldn't work in our area; Southern Alabama.
I tried this code today and got a free movie rental for the kids! Also, there was a young couple waiting in line and so I passed the code along. They were shocked and so gracious that I was sharing it. :)
I wanted to give a heads up to folks who might be a doe-doe brain like me. I didn't fully understand the Redbox "how to rent" rules so what I was doing was going to their website and reserving my movie before I went to the kiosk to pick it up. Once at the kiosk I would push the "rent with promo code" option, enter the code, pick the movie, swipe my card, and go about my business. Well ... I got my credit card statement and saw some $1.08 charges for the days I knew I had used a free rental code. So I called Redbox and they said that essentially I had rented the same movie twice - once by reserving it ahead of time online and again at the kiosk using the free rental code. D-U-H on me! They were nice and gave me credit for the charges but I wanted to share in case someone else might be doing this.
