Every year, the Read for the Record campaign encourages reading by bringing together hundreds of thousands of families to read the same book on the same day “for the record”. Last year’s record was 2.1 million people, and you could be part of the new record today by logging on to WeGiveBooks.com to read this year’s selection, The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats, for free. For each person who reads the book online, We Give Books will donate a brand-new book to a Jumpstart preschool classroom as well!
What’s your favorite children’s book?

I have done 3 so far today. It is hard on the eyes though for the books that aren’t The snowy day book. I wish there was a way to make the screen bigger so the words are easier to see without squinting. I don’t wear glasses, but after reading some of these books I think I will have to, LOL. Thanks this is a very easy way to read a book to my son and him see the pages of pictures at the same time.

My favorite kids book is “Love You Forever” by Robert N. Munsch. It’s the best and most touching book EVER. I can’t make it through without crying my eyes out…in fact, I am tearing up just thinking about it! For those Mom’s who have boys, GET THIS BOOK. It’s amazing!
