They used to have square tops and we did replace those with some round ones after having kids. They definitely require frequent cleaning! We bought a great leather storage ottoman on overstock.com and it serves as coffee table, toy storage, and extra seating for table or parties when needed :) I am going to buy an additional one for more storage in the near future. When the holidays are over, you can unwrap your pillow. Voila! :) Very nice. Slip covers are great when you have kids.
