Interesting..I wonder how long it take for the iPad to send the Kindle into oblivion? Or am I being too naive to think that will happen?

The Kindle books are formatted specifically for the Kindle application, so they won't work on other e-readers, unfortunately.

I figure the ipad will come out with something to read kindle files soon. do you know if those books are also free for the ipad?
