Mission Tortillas are regularly on my shopping list because of their versatility. My kids love pinwheel PB&J sandwiches for lunch, and we can turn around and use them for fajitas at dinner and still have an enthusiastic response. But one of my favorite recipes is so simple and easy, it’s really not even a recipe at all…
Store-bought tortilla chips just don’t hit the spot for me. I want warm, flaky, flavorful tortilla chips, and this is so easy to do with Mission Tortillas!
Just take a stack of Mission Tortillas…
And slice them into wedges with a pizza cutter…
Spread them out on some non-stick cookie sheets, and then pop them into a 350-degree oven for about 9-10 minutes.
Mix up some homemade guacamole while you’re waiting, and here’s the end result:
See?!? I told you it was easy! And they seriously taste soooooooo much better than anything you can buy at the store, and they’re much healthier since Mission Flour Tortillas contain 0 grams of trans fat per serving and are cholesterol free.

I use to do this as a kid! You have to be careful to not burn them though.
Mission actually makes some really great tortilla chips too. They are my favorite!

Yes, you definitely need to keep an eye on them and adjust the cooking time if needed. Also, they will continue to brown if you leave them on the cookie sheet, so I always transfer them to a bowl as soon as I pull them out.

A new recipe I found is the quesadilla casserole by McCormick. I made it last weekend, very easy and simple to make. The spices are included on the McCormick card. Includes, corn, beans, tortillas, cheese, tomatoe sauce, very good.I don’t know all the ingredients off hand but if you look it up, you should find it, I found the recipe card spices in a local grocery store.

I’ll have to look for that, Dawn. Based on the ingredients, it sounds like something I’d love.

That sounds great! I just made some guacomole with that great coupon for CA avocados, so now I can make my own chips. :)

Mission corn tortillas crisp up nicely in the oven as well.

We can’t get enough of quesadillas around here. Bean and cheese with salsa for me and broccoli and cheese for my 2 year old. A great way to get some veggies in their diet! I even put fresh spinach in them when I have it on hand.

I love to make the oven-baked chips. I usually brush on a little olive oil and a variety of herbs and spices. We’ve done Greek, Italian, Mexican, heinz-57… 8-]
And now that I’ve read this, I’m going to have to find some avocadoes. Hmm, maybe an avocado bacon burger wrap…
