I went shopping at my local Kroger today in Texas. I had a "buy one get one free" printed online coupon from coupons.com basically. They told me they won't honor printed internet coupons or coupons for "free" stuff. That is totally lame and enough to think twice about buying most of my groceries there again. What's the point if you can't save or use any coupon?! I hate going to Walmart but they are cheaper...I don't know if they'll honor the coupon either but other than that I no other place to shop. If this is the case I can't save with printed online coupons. :(

Hi Debbie,
I am sorry you had difficulties with the $4 off coupon. It should have come off your total automatically when you scanned your shoppers card. I do know that the $4 off coupon was for the P&G Mega Event which ended a couple of weeks ago. I do think the $4 coupon expired during that time. If you have further questions, make sure you contact Kroger customer service.

I had a $4 off next purchase digital coupon for Kroger which loaded on my card from their website - yet when I went to the store they refused the coupon. So when you get an email saying play their games to see if you get a coupon for 50 cents to $5 off next purchase, ignore it! The corporation might offer it on their website, but the store doesn't have to accept it! Was a waste of my time!

I am a single dad with 2-teenagers and been shopping at Kroger for over 20 years. This new digital coupons and even printable coupons programs absolutely stinks! It's hard to argue with cashier when their is a line behind you and people wanting to get checked out. It use to be alot simplier for me to print coupons out since I would go to check out and over 1/2 digital coupons weren't even added on. Then good luck trying to contact C/Service at Kroger and explain your situation...what a crock! I know...change to another grocery store!

You can "double dip" at Walgreens. Even this week it's almost like "triple dipping" on some items, Like the Cottonelle Ultra...

Buy 2 twelve packs for $10
minus the monthly ivc coupon
minus $1 off cottonelle coupon from the paper
then you also get a Register Reward for $3!
It's like 2/$3!

Not to mention if you have other Register rewards to use as well...
And at my Walgreens they let me use formula coupons and checks in the same transaction because they are processed a different way. (one scanned while the other is treated like a tender)
Also whenever the Walgreens diapers go on sale bogo1/2price they let me use the infant care booklet and 2 of the $1 off walgreens diapers coupons (usually found on the packages themselves or on the W formula cans) which is a great deal!

So most definately my favorite coupon store is Walgreens because they are the easiest to understand and the Walgreens I go to is great with coupons, sometimes it pays to shop for a store, not just the deals, to get a good cashier and friendly management!

my big problem with meijer is if you don't pay with a debit card, you don't get coupons back. I started using an enevelope system and I stopped using my debit card and I noticed how I stopped getting coupons. Sometimes I won't use cash, just to test my theory and sure enough, I get coupons. They are wrong for that.

Again, this is an example of double dipping of manufacturer coupons which is prohibited.
In this example, you attempted to use two manufacturer coupons on one item. You tried to get $1.35 off, but you are only entitled to either the $0.35 digital or $.50 doubled to $1.00, but NOT BOTH. The eCoupon will always deduct first. If you bought a second bottle of Downy, then you should of course been able to redeem the paper coupon and get $1.00 total off that bottle.

Going to Meijer will not help because their mPerks has the same restrictions on the double dipping you have described.

Mine never worked. It's not Kroger that is suppose to reinburse you. One time I contacted the website that does the e-coupons and the reinbursed me at my next purchase. The next time I did it, I didn't get reinbursed. I saw where I was suppose to because the dollar amt shows up as a coupon, but it never came off.

The systems used to let you stack them. But now they have updated their systems, so it depends on the store if they are running on the old system or new system.

Only face value. Manuafacture's can also req to see transactions to see if store are using coupons correctly. There have been stores that manufactures have banned from using coupons due to not following manufacture procedures on how to accept particular coupons.

The computer will flag them if it's a duplicate coupon. The manufacture is suppose to send a lsit of good coupons (the numbers on the bottom of the clipped coupon). When using the electronic coupons, some will be flagged with the same code, so if the computer will read it as a seperate coupon. Unfortantatley, those are the coupons that will get read first.

Why not just return the item and then repurchase it up at the customer service counter with the coupon you would have perferred to use?

Avoid female cashiers like the PLAGUE when using coupons. Especially if they look over 30. I don't know why, but women cashiers are complete and total b****es about coupons. Always go in a line that has a younger (under 40) male cashier. Always.

I went to my local Kroger store yesterday and bought a bottle of Downy, I had my Kroger card loaded with .35 I believe and a coupon for .50 which would double to 1.00, but they told me I couldnt use the .50 coupon because I had already used the coupon that was on my card! I asked them if they could take the one off of my card and allow me to use the .50 coupon for the larger savings, they said no they couldnt do that, I was not very happy! If they keep it up they are going to lose alot of business!! I plan on taking my Kroger ad and my coupons to Meijer!

Why should any retailer, not just Kroger, accept two manufacturer coupons for a single item? The eCoupons found at Kroger.com, Cellfire and the like are mostly manufacturer coupons.

At least Target makes it clear that you can do one Target and one Manufacturer coupon per item and they clearly state that you cannot stack a Target mobile and paper coupon on the same item. Rite Aid and Walgreens are the same.

If you want to "double dip" then stick wtih CVS and combine your earned EB's with the P&G coupons to get inexpensive Crest toothpaste and the like.

My kroger already gives me a hard time over coupons like if i have a buy 2 get something off and one of the items is b1g1 then it wont scan, the only reason i go to kroger is because of doubling plus ecoupons because their prices are more expensive than walmart. SO since they changed their policy then going to their stores is a waste of time. Walmarts policy took a step forward and kroger just went 3 steps back! who the heck makes fake coupons anyways? also almost every major brand has been issuing big coupons on their facebook pages now as an incentive. so what am i suppose to do with those? Maybe i will move so i have more shopping choices, why cant everyone be WALGREENS~ stacking coupons on sale items, money back.. they are leading the coupon charge~

Hi Katie-
On your receipt underneath the item you bought you should the ecoupon listed. For example:
Ragu $1.75
eCpn Ragu -$1

The ecoupons are not listed at the bottom of the receipt with the other coupons. They are through out the receipt underneath the product.

Where is it supposed to show that the uploaded coupons to my card were taken off? I would like to see them show separately discounts w/plus card due to sale in store and discount due to uploaded coupons on my plus card.

I not had any of my E coupons come off recently, even when I don't have paper coupons. What do I do? Contacting Kroger (via web site) just doesn't get a response.
