I am a beginning coupon-er. I went to Kroger today for the Mega Event and bought 33 items for $37.44. I was pretty proud of myself---I had a coupon for everything I bought except for the Seattle's Best Coffee and I have a rebate form, making it free! I have had a lot of fun with this since I started and really appreciate your blog's inspiration!

lunchables w/ water are not included in the buy 10, save 5 deal (they are 3.49 at my kroger). i used one of the coupons for one w/o water and it went thru fine, but i felt very guilty/deceptive.

help please? :) some coupon links lead me to bricks coupon pages that keep telling me to install the coupon printer. i've got it installed already, and each time i get this prompt i install it again, thinking maybe i just need to upgrade it somehow. but then it just keeps looping the "install coupon printer" page, and never gives me the actual coupon... even after i restart the browser like it sometimes says. i've run into this a few times so i thought i'd ask -
is there a way around this, or perhaps a different link to the coupons? (example on this post is the skinny cow coupon) :) thanks much!! i love this site and really appreciate all the helpful tips.

Cyn, that happens when the link you're using is optimized for a different browser. I usually try to provide links for both Firefox and Internet Explorer, so be sure to use that one that corresponds with your browser.

I'll update the Skinny Cow link now.

I just stopped in a Kroger to buy some ice cream for my DS, and ended up with 3 bags of stuff....lol. They had Klondike on sale for $2.27, and there was recently a $1 coupon posted on this site, making for some cheap ice cream treats for the kids. The other bargain I stumbled across is GG Vegetable Steamers on sale for $1.19 (make sure they ring up correctly, mine did not and I had to make a trip back inside to Cust Service) and I had several Mfr coupons for .50, which they double. That made for some very inexpensive side dishes to go with dinner.....woohoo!
