I just called our local Krispy Kreme here in Wisconsin. They told me that the corporate office has issued a memo that this is a false add and is not a Krispy Kreme promotion. You will want to call your local Krispy Kreme in advance before making the trip to see if the information I got here is the same everywhere.

Our Krispy Kreme didn't know about this offer. The lady said that I would need to check in later in the week, they usually get told about deals for the next week on Thurs.

I called a Krispy Kreme in zip code 66213 - Kansas -- I was informed that this was just for "franchise" stores - which are primarily located in Texas. There was from a Krispy Kreme sales rep in the store that I called that provided this information.

99c for a dozen is 99c more than they'd usually get from my family. We usually just go when the "hot donuts now" light is on and get one free for each of us. I suppose I could fork out a buck for 12 of them and since we're in Texas maybe that means the stores here are likely to have the promo going on. :)
