I like the website – I like how you can narrow it down with such detail, how you can search without having to sign up for a “membership” and was surprised to see obituary listings for my small town (I usually don’t find anything on the internet about it)! The ads get on my nerves – but they do with most sites and I know they have to be there for the siteowner to make a profit or whatever.

I checked out the website… All there is for my zip code are obituaries… Not so exciting!

Looks like a great site. I especially like the free offers. Thanks.

I like the splash page–with the simple, crisp pictures in the slideshow.
I really like the zipcode search and all of the options available. I can search my hometown to see the weddings/births/obits there and also where I am living now. I am amazed at the Local News links…even to the high school paper! I like the photo option as well, though none are posted there, yet. Looks great!!

BUMMER! BUMMER! ;((
I wrote a long helpful comment after going to Xtra-Xtra, even joining – for a chance at winning the iPhone.
I clicked SEND. A message came back “email address invalid” and TRASHED my WHOLE COMMENT. Your webmaster should have a buffer that saves the person’s content so they can make the necessary correction and resend. ;((((
I’m a computer consultant and writer.
That user unfriendly design causes endless frustration for people on sites all over the net. There are always random internet or PC problems that can cause errors on a page. Most people would find the page and re-write the comment.
I went to Xtra-xtra – not a thing for my zip code 13208. I even went through the registration process to see if there was any difference – none.
My comment to you that got deleted was: I love your site.
For someone who has never done much couponing or rebating before, it seems very time consuming and complicated.
Could you have a “Beginners Page” (not just beginners terminology) So someone can learn in very small steps. 1) 2) 3) and that’s all to start. We could check for just a few items like Laundry Detergent, shampoo, hand soap etc. and grow into major couponing. A little at the time, so there’s not such a steep learning curve and up front time commitment.
Many large companies were not sending rebates at all, despite many complaints. It was a scam. They were prosecuted. Months later, you could not return the item. You’re stuck with something you’d never have paid full price for and ONLY bought because of a REBATE you never got.
As a technical person, who reads tons of complicated text all day, after working, I want really simple.
For people who are not readers (there are many), easy is more critical. Simplicity is a big issue with people learning how to use a computer. They get frustrated and give up.
I’ve had good success giving people very small steps they can practice and learn with their eyes closed before we move on. It makes the whole process as close to painless as possible.
Good luck, hope this helps. I wrote this offline to prevent losing it again.
