Giveaway: $100 Walmart Gift Card

by Tara Kuczykowski on November 28, 2008 · 1,838 comments

If you were excited about my $50 Walmart gift card giveaway, I'm hoping you'll be doubley excited about a $100 Walmart gift card!

That's right – I've got a $100 gift card ready to send out to make one Deal Seeking Mom reader's Christmas a little merrier, and I've been assured that this will definitely arrive in time for the holidays.

I'll make entering easy for everyone!

Check out the new Walmart 2008 Holiday Gift Guide as well as the Walmart website and let me know what gifts you'd spend this cool $100 on.  I'd like to know what the item (or items) is, who it's a gift for, and why you think it would knock their socks off this Christmas.  Maybe this will help give us some ideas for those hard-to-buy-for people we all know!

Every reader has three methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, or three for up to a total of 3 entries!!!

1. Leave a comment sharing what gifts you would purchase with this $100 gift card answering my questions above!

2. Subscribe to my feed via RSS or email and leave a separate comment letting me know you have done so. If you’re already a subscriber, simply leave a separate comment letting me know you’re already subscribed. Lovin’ my subscribers! You guys make this all possible.

3. Spread the word about this contest in some manner and come back and leave a link in a separate comment. If you have a blog, you can blog about it. But if you don’t have a blog, you’re not at a disadvantage. You could review and Stumble it. You could Twitter it. You could post about it in a forum. Use your imagination!

It is important that you leave a separate comment for each type of entry because each comment is equal to one entry. Sorry to harp on this, but it really is that important to tally and select the winner easily, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me simplify the process!

Prize:
1 $100 Walmart Gift Card

This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Monday, December 1st. I’ll use Random.org to generate a number that corresponds with the winning comment number and post the winner on Tuesday, December 2nd. Good luck!

While you’re in a contest entering mood, don’t forget to check out the Giveaway Gathering for a variety of contests being hosted on Deal Seeking Mom readers’ blogs!

I would use the card to buy frames to make gifts. Name frames are a very personal beautiful gift, and very thrifty with Walmart's $3 frames. I have given a couple for gifts and they always wow the recipient. I would also purchase groceries, to help us through the holidays, and ingredients to make some homemade breads, cookies and candies as gifts. Everyone in my family loves these types of gifts and are always excited to get them.

thanks for sharing.

I would spend the 100 on myself! I would get the cute new ipod nano and the nike fit thing that goes with it. My goal for next year is to get healthy and fit and what a better present than great music to listen to and a device that tracks your miles and calories for you!

Thanks for the giveaways!

For my daughter: Animal Crossing for Wii (she's dying for it, or at least that's what she says every day)
For my husband: The Book: Looking for Lincoln: The Making of an American Icon (I saw him fondling it in Borders the other day)
For my mom: The dvd "Steel Magnolias" since it's her favorite movie.

If I get selected for this giftcard all of it will go to a family in need from the crisis center. We have been and continue to be so very fortunate. I know that it will make a huge difference to one of these familes and it will make this Christmas so much more merry. Thanks for offering this card!

I would get each of my grandsons a pair of pajamas for Christmas each with a different theme so I would need 6 pairs and have some left over to get a couple of my granddaughters a pair. I would try to chip in to cover all of them. This would be so great and such a help since we are going through a really rough time. Thank you so much!

My mother is 82 yrs old and depends on her VCR to tape shows. This is her main form of entertainment. Unfortunately, her VCR does not have a digital tuner and will be obsolete soon. She also wants to learn how to use a DVD player, but this will take her some time to master. I would use the gift certificate to buy this:
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5622734
A combination VCR/DVD player with a digital tuner. This would allow her to continue using a VCR (which she is familiar with) while having the opportunity to learn the DVD without feeling rushed to do so. These combination sets with a tuner are not in our price range right now, but the gift card would bring the price down into our price range. I know my mom would love it!
