Just got back from Giant Eagle and they said they no longer can take internet coupons if it makes the item free.
I hope that isn`t true- It makes no sense, as the manufacturer pays them back the face value of the coupon and a handling fee. Anyone call Giant Eagle Corporate to find oout the "official" policy? If so, post, please!
Debbie, I'm pretty sure what David is referring to are printable coupons for free items, not dollar off coupons that happen to make an item free. Outright free printable coupons are very rare because the potential for misuse is so great, and many stores will not accept them. But they should still accept regular cents off or dollar off coupons that may happen to result in a free purchase.
