In celebration of Earth Day, Target Stores will be giving away a total of 1.5 million reusable shopping bags on Sunday, 4/21, starting at 10am. Your FREE bag will include a product coupon booklet that offers over $40 in savings.

PLUS, of the 1.5 million reusable bags, 250,000 of them will also include FREE samples of sustainable products, including Method dish soap, Annie's Bunny Grahams, Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent, and Burt's Bees Moisturizing Cream!  Did you know you'll enjoy a $0.05 reusable bag discount every time you shop at Target with your handy shopping bag(s)?!

On the Target website, it says they will be giving them away on 4/22

It states Earth day is April 22.Bag giveaway will be April 21 while supplies last.

Actually, what I see on Target's website is the following statement...I can't find anything at all official from Target that says the giveway is the 21st:

psst. free reusable bags.
On April 22, 2012, we'll be giving away one bag per guest, near the Guest Service desk in stores. Get one before they're gone.
