Free Gillette Fusion Razor
I'm sure this great freebie from ShopText won't last long. So text PRUEBA to 467467 to get a FREE Gillette Fusion Razor while supplies last.

Note that you'll receive a text back in Spanish asking you to reply with your age and then a second one asking you to reply with your state. You'll then receive your razor in about 4-6 weeks!

Not sure what ShopText is all about? Here’s more information on texting for freebies with ShopText.

(Thanks, FreeStuff4Free!)

When you do this, do you get all kinds of junk text ads?

Reply

Julie, I have not gotten any junk texts! I did my first SHopText about 2 months ago.

I've been doing SopText for close to a year now. I have never gotten any spam texts.

I got several texts asking for more information. maybe because it is a new phone, although the service is 4 yrs old. Anyway, from what i can tell,
"obtendremos tu direccion" means address (number and street, not city).
"codigo postal" = zip code
"telefono de casa" = home phone number with area code
"nombre y apellido" = first and last name
HTH someone.

Does it normally take the entire 8 weeks to ship free items? I registered and requested my first on Nov. 11th. The 8 week mark is January 6. Anybody have experience with it that could estimate their usual wait time?

Has this code already expired? I just tried and got a message back saying the shortcode I attempted has already expired and is no longer a valid short code...?

14 Melissa December 26, 2009 at 5:43 pm

I just tried it also. And the Laundry detergent is expired. As for the razor it told me that they were looking for people the age of 18. So, I guess all other ages is done with. Dunno... The other's, the nestle, and always samples are expired too. And you have to get them from Food Lion, I think. It said that is was a Food Lion coupon. And expired December 24, 2009. So, I guess all of them are expired now.

I just did it, my age is 35 and I had to send them my new address b/c out # is associated with our address from 3 years ago, however it all worked and they said I should be here in 4-6 weeks!!

I just did it through their phone number instead of texting 1-888-778-3221 and the offer is still working. I'm also a lot older than 18, lol. The phone call took two times because it's a bit hard to understand in their English version. You select 2 for English and then 1. You have to be patient with the option on 1 and I think you have to select 1 a second time, wait and eventually it will ask for you to enter your age, etc.

Thanks! I called the 800 number posted in the comments and it worked for me. My husband uses these razors and I always get so upset when I have to buy new blades because even with a coupon they are expensive. Free makes my day!

Wow, the English was hard to understand! Thanks for posting this great freebie though. As Heartland Hannah posted, you don't have to do it via texting. You'll press 2 for English, then 1, and 1 again and it will prompt you to enter your birthdate, name and address.

Haha, good to see that my 6 years of taking Spanish in school finally paid off!
1. Text PRUEBA to 467467
2. After receiving the next, put in your age.
3. Wait for the next, put in your state.
4. Next text is just confirmation, and a phone # if you want terms/conditions.

I just did it and it went through fine. I have been doing shop text since they had the Campbells Chunky soup coupon, and I know that had to be over a year ago. I haven gotten everything I ever text for, unless I got a response back saying they were already out. I also text in a UPC for Clearasil once and got a free clearasil acne roller pen.

Don't even bother with the texting, just call 1-888-778-3221. I did and it worked just fine!

The phone message doesn't sound legit to me. Why would a company like P&G have someone who you can barely understand doing the prompts for a promo? Does anyone know for sure it this is legitimate? Some on another site said that when she listened to the terms and conditions (what she could understand), she heard that there is a charge to your phone for the service.

My cell phone carrier blocks access. When I asked them why they said the organization offering this "deal" is a known criminal group involved in identity theft!

Who is your carrier? I havent seen any bad reviews about this site so I am curious who said they were a criminal group....

That's pretty strange. I've been using ShopText for well over a year, and I've never had any problems with receiving my samples or with spam texts.

They blocked access because this particular ShopText exposes you to the Mexican crime syndicate that is behind the attempt to mine your data. They didn't say anything bad about ShopText, they warned about giving the Mexicans your information.

My brother works in the identity theft recovery field and he confirmed that this offer is indeed sponsored by a group that steals identities and ruins credit scores. Anyone who gave their information to this group would do well to get a free credit report about a month from now because that's usually about how long it will take them to piece together enough information to open up credit accounts in your name. This will turn out to be a very expensive free razor for those that choose to ignore these warnings.

Well I hope this is not a scam! SHOP TEXT has a website (htts - secure?). I received the same free razor months ago but don't remember if it was through Shop Text or not? If someone really wants your idenity with the info given to shop text all they have to do is look in a phone book and or on the internet. It isn't like your name isn't all ready out there everywhere. Name, address and phone numbers are not secret.

How do you know who the offer is sponsored by? Any information given to them would have to go through ShopText, so surely ShopText has vetted the offer.

It is definitely worth registering with the website to avoid all of the Spanish confusion. They just text you back for your age and then again for the state. I didn't use my first name, just J. Guess if they want to find me they can, but they don't ask for anything we haven't already put on a thousand other websites to get coupons and freebies. My text said my razor would be 6-8 weeks, so I guess we will wait and see if it comes.

I sure hope this works and everything is legit. Can anyone let me know more about this? I just called and got one for me and another person, so I definitely don't want someone to steal their identity, because I signed them up for a free razor! Ahhhh! I did this before I saw the other emails about identity theft. The reason I am asking is because I got scammed on a Dazzle White website a few months ago. Crazy! Hopefully, it's all okay. I hope......

Works fine. Via text, it will first ask for your age, then your zip code, then your street address, and finally your name. The last request is to respond with s (si/yes) or n (no) to confirm the address data you have entered. I had no issues with this, and haven't been to Spanish class for about 26 years. Wow - that's pretty freakin' depressing, eh? The final response will tell you that it should arrive in 4-6 weeks.

offer isn't good anymore I presume.. after fighting with my phone to spell PRUEBA in spanish the message I got was;
Desafortunadamente, las navajas de afeitar Gillette estan agotadas. Obten mayores informes y ofertas en http://www.gillette.com.

I assume that means.. sorry white chic.. you ain't gettin none.. lol
