FREE Fresh Cranberries
Gosh, I'm really wishing we had an Earth Fare around us with all of these great produce coupons they're been putting out. Maybe Whole Foods will take notice and start offering some!

Get a FREE 1-lb. of fresh bulk cranberries at Earth Fare with any purchase. Limit one coupon per person.

Expires 11/17/09.

I'll admit I've never purchased fresh cranberries, so I wouldn't even know what to do with them, but I'm sure there are some great recipes available online. Even if you don't like cranberries, you could string them with popcorn as a Christmas tree garland.

Cranberries can make a really nice holiday centerpiece. If you have a pretty glass bowl, add water, cranberries, and a few floating candles. Since cranberries float, they look great surrounding the candles! Simple and elegant.

Fresh cranberries are awesome to make cranberry sauce with. Just use the recipe on the bag, cranberries, sugar and water. It's so much better than the canned stuff! You can usually find them on sale for a dollar a bag this time of year. Usually about 2.50. There are lots of recipes out there for making chicken and other stuff with cranberry sauce too, yum.

Ooh, that sounds really pretty, Kimberly.

I think you've inspired me to try the fresh kind this year, Denise. I love cranberry sauce, but I've never had it fresh.

Cranberries are so versatile beyond just sauce which is sooooo easy.
They freeze beautifully and I always stock up while there on sale. Just throw the whole bag in the freezer. Yummy

You can also make fresh cranberry sauce with cranberries, sugar and orange juice in place of the water. It's really yummy! Here's a recipe:

I tried this recipe last Christmas, and it was the star of the dinnertable! Delicious, unexpected, and impossibly simple to make. Try it!

Whole Food does offer coupon books for free in stores. And right now, there's this calendar you can buy in the stores for $2 and it has $35 of coupons in it. The profits go to charity.
