My spices were in serious need of some organization. Think I'm exaggerating? You can see the before here.

So that's why I'm so excited about how these DIY chalk painted spice jars turned out! My spices are now neat as a pin, and I can find them easily when I'm cooking.
Wouldn't these be a fantastic and frugal Mother's Day gift for little ones to craft? I promise they're super simple to make.

I love this idea! :)
can you tell me where you purchased the jars? I have been looking for a great store to purchase containers, glass, to use for home made vanilla extract. And to use for pasta...
thanks !!!
LOL! Sorry, I jumped the gun and did not read the project.:) Great job, I will be passing this on to my sister!
I bought glass containers from hooby lobby that I use for storage and with the coupons they were pretty cheap.
Love the idea and the wide mouth of the baby food jars make them perfect for scooping spices when you're cooking. I like the look of the McCormick spice bottles but the narrow opening drives me crazy when I have to measure level spoons.
