The Sally Hansen limit is 6.

Does tax count for the Sally Hanson or would I have to buy 3?

CVS is very good about giving extrabucks even when you are a few cents short. They will spit out the EB 2 cents short. They didn’t have nail polish for $4.99 at mine, but I found some for $5.19 :)
question
I have not seen any Sally Hansen coupons in the 0505 Redplum, is it a regional thing?

That Sally Hansen ECB deal has me scratching my head. I went on Sunday, used the two $4 off coupons, got my ECB. Did a second purchase and used them. The bottom of that receipt said “Sally Hans., Spend 10 Get 5 EB Amount Needed to Earn Reward 10.00” I went back yesterday, bought a $3.29 Hard as Nails, and it printed the amount needed as $6.71. Today I went, and on a whim bought two more HaNs, and got another $5 ECB. That made sense even though it was limit 1, supposedly. I had spent $9.87 which was close enough to trigger I guess, if the limit wasn’t one.
But, here’s where I really get confused: this last receipt, which printed my second $5 Sally Hansen ECB reward, says at the bottom that I spent 19.77 toward the reward, and need .23 to earn it. So, should I go back and get another bottle, better than free, or avoid cashing in on what seems to be an error on their part?
I just got some nail stamping supplies, and am trying out polishes to see which will work with it, so I can use the polish, but I feel like it’d be cheating. :(
