CVS: Unadvertised Huggies Wipes Deal

by Tara Kuczykowski on February 22, 2010 · 61 comments

Wow, Huggies Wipes are priced at 2/$5 this week, which isn't a very exciting deal until you hear that the large 216-ct. refill packs are also ringing up at just $2.50!

Edited: Looks like this was a pricing error by CVS that has been corrected.

Some readers have reported receiving $2 off Huggies Wipes coupons when they scan their card at the in-store scanners, plus there's also a $1/2 Huggies Baby Wipes via Upromise Deposit coupon available.

I'm also told that there was a $1/1 Huggies Wipes manufacturer coupon in the January Safeway coupon booklet, so if all of these sources align for you, you've got FREE wipes.

Huggies Wipes Refill Pack (216 ct.), 2/$5
$1/1 Huggies Wipes (Safeway January Coupon Booklet)
$2/1 Huggies Wipes CVS Coupon
$1/2 Huggies Baby Wipes via Upromise Deposit
As low as FREE after both coupons and Upromise deposit!

Be sure to check out the weekly CVS deals for more ways to save.

Thanks, The Frugal Find!

You can bet they're going to fix that mistake pretty quickly!

Where can I get the $2/1 CVS coupon?

4 JDaniel4's Mom February 23, 2010 at 5:49 am

Thanks for the heads up! We go through a lot of wipes!

5 heather February 23, 2010 at 7:34 am

6 Judy @ Frugal at Home February 23, 2010 at 7:43 am

8 Kristin February 23, 2010 at 9:21 am

My SIL got this deal last night also. There are no signs but it is the BIG refill bags. Check them at the price scanner first, they will say 2/$5.

9 Sonya February 23, 2010 at 9:34 am

I went to my local CVS this morning and bought 3 of those 216 count bags! I didnt have any coupons either but $2.50 is still an excellent price for that size bag!! Plus they have there valentine cards 90% off too!

10 Jean February 23, 2010 at 10:37 am

I went this morning and all of the refill packs are $2.50 not just the 216 ct. I bought 8 of them because a $5 off of $15 coupon printed so I just grabbed a bunch! What a deal!

11 Jean February 23, 2010 at 10:40 am

What is the Upromise Deposit coupon?

12 melissa February 23, 2010 at 10:59 am

if you scan your CVS card at a coupon/price check center in the store, some people are getting a $2/1 coupon for huggies wipes.

don't do Upromise so don't know about how to get that coupon.

i just went to CVS. the 216 count is $2.50 here. there were only about 3 bags left after i bought two.

i didn't get the $2/1 coupon, but i did get a $5/15 CVS coupon. $2.50 is awesome price. yeah. thanks for posting.

13 Tara Kuczykowski February 23, 2010 at 11:02 am

Upromise is a college savings program. When you buy certain items, money is deposited in a savings account. So in this case you'd get a $1 deposit to this savings account when you purchase two Huggies Wipes. It's a nice way to save a little more, and it can be stacked with both manufacturer and store coupons because it's not a true coupon.

14 Tamara B-H February 23, 2010 at 11:56 am

I just got my 7 bags! used a $4/20 coupon from recycle bank since i had some raincheck items to pick up as well :) great price. manager wasnt concerned at all- she said corporate already knew about problem so I am nor sure if they are just gonna let it slide til the end of the week.

15 Brigitte February 23, 2010 at 12:19 pm

hubby just grabbed the only 4 left on the shelf. $2.50 each woo hoo!

16 Becky Jensen February 23, 2010 at 12:23 pm

I was able to get the $2.50 deal. The cradenza printed out a $2.00 off wipes coupon plus a $4.00 coupon for a box of diapers and $5 off $15 purchase coupon. You might want to note that the valentines candy is 75% off (at least at my store.) I was able to use a $1/2 coupon and get M&Ms for $.49/bag.

Thanks for letting us know about the wipes deal!

17 Nicole February 23, 2010 at 12:25 pm

It's true....I just ran out on my lunch and scored!!!!!

I am in RI

18 Erica February 23, 2010 at 1:02 pm

I just went to my local CVS here in Indiana and it worked! What a steal $2.50 a pack so I bought my 6 packs and used my $5 off $15 CVS coupon. They came out to like $1.65 a pack!

19 ginger February 23, 2010 at 1:18 pm

I did the wipes deal here at my CVS in AZ!

20 Jenny February 23, 2010 at 1:32 pm

Where can I find a $5 off $15 or $4 off $20 coupon? Thanks!

21 Amanda February 23, 2010 at 1:33 pm

I was able to do the Deal here in PA!!
I didnt get a coupon for 2.00 off but I got a coupon for $4 off $20!
Great deal!!

22 Angelica February 23, 2010 at 1:34 pm

I just went to my store and the clerk told me a woman came in earlier and bought a cart full! I hate it when that happens! Oh well. I did get a $5/15 to print so I did the Dr. Pepper 12 pk deal. There were peelies for $1/2 12 pk. Worked out to be a great deal with the $5/15!!

23 Jean February 23, 2010 at 1:35 pm

Thanks for the tip!! I just bought 19 packages for $46

24 Dizzy Mommy February 23, 2010 at 1:41 pm

I just got 3 packages... I figure I will go back this evening and grab a couple more for my sister since her baby shower is next month. Didn't get any good coupons at all $1 off 2 CVS haircare products and $1 off 2 CVS Skincare products.

25 jackie February 23, 2010 at 2:58 pm

deal worked in here in nevada was able to get 2 packages though didn't get any coupons still was a great deal!

26 Anne February 23, 2010 at 3:14 pm

Worked in AZ- yay!

Thanks so much!

27 c February 23, 2010 at 3:23 pm

i didn't get any coupons for wipes from the coupon machine, but still it is a great deal!

28 Angie February 23, 2010 at 4:16 pm

Thank you so much! I have two in diapers and love Huggies wipes! I bought four of them and they rang up full price but when she scanned my Extra Care card it brought them down to $2.50! Yay!! I'm in the New Orleans area, by the way.

29 Jillian February 23, 2010 at 4:22 pm

I just went, and there were none on the shelf. When I inquired about rainchecks, the manager told me the price on refill packs is a glich in the system and corporate is working on it, so, stock up while you can find them on the shelf, ladies! They will be changing the price back soon! (oh, and I live in western ny)

30 Sara February 23, 2010 at 4:33 pm

Does anyone know if there is a limit on the Upromise deposit?

31 Shanna R February 23, 2010 at 4:45 pm

We had to try a couple of CVS's in TX, but found the 174 specialty packs for $2.50 here. Hubby just picked up 3 packs.

32 Katie Jo February 23, 2010 at 5:07 pm

Awesome deal!!! I bought 8 packs @2.50 each, plus she said I could use my huggies DIAPER coupons too, not just the wipes ones, (I'd never heard this, but was happy to do so!) as long as they were all huggies, so with my $5 huggie coupon from recycle bank, plus $7.50 from 4 more coupons, my total for all 8 (plus 2 bags of M&M's and a box of bandaids) came to $13.31 plus tax!! Hooray!

33 Jamie February 23, 2010 at 5:31 pm

Thanks so much for posting this, I picked up 9 of them (i went to two different stores so that i didnt leave the shelf empty) !

34 Jane February 23, 2010 at 5:59 pm

Woo Hoo! I was able to pick 4 at $2.50 a piece. The store manager agreed that they are a great price, but a glitch and they are trying to fix it ASAP, so I am heading out again tonight to pick up a few more with my $5off $15 coupon before the glitch is fixed. Hurry Up everyone this is a great deal. Thank you DSM!

35 Brigitte February 23, 2010 at 6:16 pm

Hubby just picked up 4 more packs, what a deal!

36 Carmila February 23, 2010 at 6:28 pm

Wow, we had s many of these at the store by me!!!! I only got 4, I actually use them as makeup remover wipes >.< Its so much cheaper then buying the makeup wipes and work just as well :) Thanks for sharing this, I might go get some more just to have a bit more stockpile.

37 Beka February 23, 2010 at 6:55 pm

This is awesome. I got 3 at lunch, but I am going to try to go back tonight with my $4 off $20 recycle bank coupon I received in the mail.
Thanks DSM!

38 Melissa February 23, 2010 at 8:01 pm

I got a $5 off $15 coupon, so I got 6 packs for $10! The cashier was shocked at the price and said she needed to go get some too. Hopefullly they'll still be on tomorrow, I'm hoping I can get another coupon at a different CVS (TX).

39 Katie February 23, 2010 at 8:52 pm

this has nothing to do with the wipe deal, but I was just wanting to know if anybody has a zip code I can use to get the sumckers uncrustables and spot shot coupons on

40 Heather February 23, 2010 at 8:57 pm

Thanks for the tip!! I got mine in PA. I didn't have any coupons, but even for $'s a great deal. I got 4 and may go to another CVS tomorrow.

41 Brigitte February 23, 2010 at 9:30 pm

I got 4 more tonight. 2 stores were out and the other store only had about 4 or 5 more. I didn't have any coupons either, but well worth it since my son is still in diapers and both my sister and sister in law are having babies in the next few months.

42 rochelle February 23, 2010 at 9:39 pm

Thanks! I went to two stores and stocked up! No coupons available at the scanner for the wipes though. :-( But still a great deal. I also scored Johnson's Nursing pads for %50 off for 2.65 a piece. There was a sticker at one location, but not one at the other location. It still rang up at the discounted price.

43 katie February 23, 2010 at 9:53 pm

Woo hoo. Its 9:50pm eastern time just went to my cvs and still on sale for 2.50. I had huggies manu. Coupons so my total was 10.75 for 6 packs! With a 20 month old and a baby due in 2 weeks I need all the wipes I can get. Goin to get more tomorrow morning! Good luck to all who gets this great deal. ( no coupons printed with either of my extra care cards :( ) still a deal I'm not able to pass out. Also does anyone know if these big packs of wipes come in the cucumber?

44 Shannon February 23, 2010 at 9:58 pm

I went to three different stores the first one was sold out, and the second one only had one pack left, the third had a sign saying they were ringing up incorrectly and they pulled them from the shelves. Oh well one is still good!

45 Marissa February 23, 2010 at 10:52 pm

Just went to two local CVS stores in FL and bought out all the wipes at both for $2.50 each. Paid only $35 for over $100 worth of wipes!!! Thanks so much for the tip! Hope a few others can still get this deal in the morning before they fix it.

46 Lani February 23, 2010 at 11:17 pm

I grabbed the last 2 packs at one store, the next store was out, but the third store had a lot, but I only grabbed 4 packs. I kind of want to go back for more...but the baby is sleeping now.
I'm in AZ.

47 Kristy February 23, 2010 at 11:36 pm

All sold out at the 2 stores I went to in the Kansas City MO area.

48 Deven February 24, 2010 at 12:02 am

We ended up getting 9 of them in Michigan. I used the $5 off $20 purchase from a previous transaction. They told me that I could use the $4 off Huggies diapers coupons in conjunction with all of the mannys. It ended up costing $1 total! Thanks for this tip! With triplets who are six months, we go through TONS!!!!!!!!

49 zuly February 24, 2010 at 3:02 am
