CVS: I Love My Double Bucks

by Tara Kuczykowski on February 2, 2010 · 11 comments

CVS is offering double Extra Care Bucks on CVS brand purchases (4% instead of the usual 2%), and you'll also receive $2 in ECBs for every two prescriptions you fill instead of only $1.

You won't receive these savings automatically though, so here's how you can print out a coupon that will load these savings to your Extra Care Card with your next purchase.

  • Head over to Coupons.com.
  • Click on CVS Brands in the list on the left.
  • Register your Extra Care Card number to activate your savings.

These additional savings are valid through 3/15/10.

Check out the current CVS Deals for this week before you head to the store. I had a fantastic trip this week!

Hey Tara,

I signed my card up online - does that work too, or do I need to go in the store and scan the coupon?

Thanks!

When I was at the store Sunday for the Huggies deal there was a thing hanging on the shelf with pull off coupons on it, near the cvs diapers.

I had the coupon scanned when I was in the store, and I've been worndering if that would register my card until the end of the promo, or if I would need to scan that coupon everytime. I only bought CVS brand of neutrogena body scrub b/c it was on clearance. I'm sure the day after it ends is whenI am going to need to buy medicines and lots of other CVS brand stuff.

Tara, I'm pretty confused about this. We were forced via the insurance to move all prescriptions to CVS. With diabetics in the fam, that meant 10 prescriptions. I used the hang tags in the store with my CVS card & have not seen a single ECB from filling any of them. Are these ECBs the ones we get quarterly or should they have printed on my receipt?

they are for the quarterly bucks. usually on your receipt it will say your winter ECB savings or something like that. make sure that goes amount goes up correctly with each prescription filled
