You suggest using 2 of the $2/1 neutrogena printables, but the coupon states only one coupon per purchase, per customer - so you might want to take that one down.

Reply

2 Tara Kuczykowski May 14, 2011 at 1:02 pm

Rebekah, per purchase is the same as per item, so I read that as a customer can use one coupon on each item in the transaction.

Reply

3 Rebekah May 14, 2011 at 5:24 pm

Yes, but this one says "One coupon per purchase AND one coupon per customer" - I think you're right about the one product being the one purchase, but one coupon per customer I think means ONLY one per person, regardless of number of products or transactions. Some should have been lucky enough to get a $1/1 coupon in the 5/8 SS though... (just not me - sigh).

Reply

4 Heather May 15, 2011 at 4:15 pm

Is that even legal to say one coupon per customer?

Reply

5 Rebekah May 16, 2011 at 7:58 pm

Yep, it's legal to say one coupon per customer, what's NOT legal is to use more than one... - just consider if YOU were the company owner - you offer a coupon so people will try your product, but you're not obligated to give them more than one discount, even if they purchase more than one product.

I got a coupon in the mail the other day for $3 off Sensodyne pronamel at CVS. Unfortunately, I was in a pitching spree at the time.

8 Natasha May 15, 2011 at 2:28 pm

I'm also wondering about the crt for skin care. Also can it be used multiple times for different sales items. A few deals call for it.Thanks everyone!!!

I am in Columbus, Oh and I didn't get a cvs ad this week in the paper so I went to pick it up at the store. She said there was no ad this week & there was nothing on sale or any EB offers. But it looks like theres a bunch on sale according to above. Anyone know whats going on

Reply

10 Brandi May 15, 2011 at 7:53 pm

I'm also in Ohio (southern) and the same thing happened to me today. No ad, no sales. I'm really disappointed because I wanted to get the Neutrogena sunscreen deal. I did a search on cvs.com and all the CVS stores near me said "no ad available". I don't know what's going on but I don't like it!

Reply

11 Kimberly May 15, 2011 at 9:45 pm

Same here. I just came here to ask if anyone else had this issue, or if my store was crazy. I'm so annoyed!

I could have had free Huggies per the deal listed here and my ECBs!

12 Cathy @ Five Boys May 18, 2011 at 11:53 am

I am in Columbus as well and am so bummed about no sales this week. I really wanted the olive oil and sunscreen!

I could not find any -Neutrogena Sunblock Sticks (SPF 30) at $7.99

The employee told me they're concentrating on their lowered prices or something like that.

My store informed me that, "there is no ad" this week. I posted my experience on my blog - super confused for sure! Regional thing, I guess!?

Reply

16 Tara Kuczykowski May 15, 2011 at 10:31 pm

Not really sure what's going on. I did notice that there was no ad in my paper today, and it says there aren't any available sales when I try to look it up online. I'll see what I can find out!

I remember reading something last week about CVS test areas and something about no ads and no sales. I wonder if Columbus is now a test area. I also did not get a CVS add in my Dispatch.

I can't wait to hear what you find out Tara.

Reply

18 Sara May 16, 2011 at 1:49 pm

I ran into the same problem! I am an hour south of Columbus and I spoke to a manager who said there were no ads this week because they're focusing on their low price brands. He said it's for the entire Columbus district which, unfortunately includes me. My mom is an hour south on the WV border and she gets to enjoy all of the great deals this week! He said they are still running the monthly ECB deals but hopefully next week they will be participating in the weekly ads and deals again.

An update on this issue would be great. I can't find one blog willing to explain it.

Reply

20 Sunny May 16, 2011 at 7:50 pm

I sure hope this is a permanent thing in the Columbus area. I have tons of ECBs to use

Reply

21 Emily May 16, 2011 at 9:31 pm

Ladies-

I just searched "cvs test market columbus oh" and this is what I found.

It seems that Columbus is now a test market to see if people are coming in to the stores for the weekly ECB deals or for the new low price cuts. One week each month, we will not receive a CVS add and our stores will not be running the sales that the rest of the country's are. What I haven't found yet is whether or not we will know in advance which week there will be no ad.

Reply

22 Brandi May 17, 2011 at 12:51 am

Thank you so much for the update!

Reply

23 Kimberly May 17, 2011 at 1:23 pm

Yep, pretty much just for the ECB deals. Even with the price cuts, I can get most items cheaper elsewhere!

Reply

24 Sunny May 17, 2011 at 11:26 am

Thanks for letting us know. Wonder why they picked the Columbus area to test?

Reply

25 Barbara (ClipperGirl) May 17, 2011 at 11:52 am

I have also been reading that certain test areas will only have sales Monday - Friday. Probably for the same reason. Have any of you experienced that yet?
