I am new to the drugstore/CVS thing. I m going to list the items that I want to get. Would someone be willing to help me figure out how to do this to make it the lowest OOP prices. I dont care to do multiple transactions on multiple days.

Thanks if you are willing to help.
Heather

6 Tresemme Products,
Aveeno Products (9 or 3-$25deals)
2 Crest Toothpaste
1 Schick Intuition
2 Fusion Razors

Forgot to mention, I will have no ECBs to start out at!

Reply

3 Rachel April 25, 2009 at 1:05 pm

I think on the Fusion razor deal, you have to buy BOTH the razor and the refill cartridge to get $6 ECB, so your total OOP would be much more than $1.49

I hardly ever shop at CVS so i don't fully understand the extra care bucks. If I get the ECB's after buying the tresemme products, can I use them on anything I buy next time? Or just tresemme products?

Reply

5 Andrea Reynolds April 25, 2009 at 3:09 pm

You can use ECB's on anything, they're almost as good as cash!!! And nowhere near as complicated as Walgreen's RR's! :)

We have absolutely the BEST CVS here in SW Louisiana!! They never have a problem with multiple transactions or coupons! They will even remind you which products to roll ECB's on!!! How amazing is that?!?

I don't understand how Roc Skin Care can be free after the $3 coupon. What about the $.99?

Reply

7 Dizzy Mommy April 25, 2009 at 8:21 pm

you buy 8 products at $3.99= $32
8 coupons times $3 each= $24
with that you get $10 EBCS..... so in the end you come out $2 ahead because of the EBCs since they are as good as cash at CVS.

You're right, Rachel. I misread the ad. Thanks for pointing that out!

Is there an easy way to grab 8 of the Roc coupons? I was able to print 4 when I registered, but what about the other 4 needed?

I have a question for anyone who can answer. I did print out the $10 off 3 Aveeno's a few days back. They are for the positively ageless products. Does this coupon work for non positively ageless items? Because at my CVS, all thepositively ageless stuff is super expensive. I have seen some deals on other sites that lead me to believe that it may work on other aveeno product...

Can I ask what "psa" means? I did a search and can't find it :) Thanks!

Colleen,
I don't think that the Aveeno deal will work on products that are not Positively Ageless. My advice would be to go for the Aveeno Positively Ageless sunblock. They have it in the spray and the lotion, both for $9. 3=$27 , then -10, and with the $10 ecb you will earn, you will end up getting them for $2.33 a piece....and that is if you were starting with no ecb's. Hope this helps!

I used the positively ageless Aveeno coupons on Aveeno products that were NOT p.a. at both CVS and Target with no problem. So, just try it!

My CVS didn't have Tresemme Products, 3/$10...they were all around $5 each. Walgreen's Tresemme deal ended up being better. The Roc deal was awesome though! Thanks so much!

I'm having the same problem as Cindy. I was only able to print 4 ROC cpns. Even after registering with a different e-mail, still not allowed more than 4. Any help??

Is the Post Cereal coupons still printing for anyone? I printed them out a while ago and they expired :( before I found a deal. I get the message "print offer limit reached" when try again. I can try on another computer, but I was checking to see if the whole offer is done before I try.

I printed off 4 Roc Coupons on my home computer and then printed them off a computer at my church as well. You could always have your husband or friend print them off for you... My problem is my CVS doesn't have 8 of the 3.99 products so I'll have to try back later. I heard that they also will issue rainchecks.

RE: Aveeno deal - Tara, the signs at my CVS store said there is only one $10ECB/$25 deal per household. Where did you see limit 3? I was bummed b/c I used the deal a couple of weeks ago and was hoping to snag the hair care too. :)

FYI thebandaid deal: There are no $1 bandaids at our location at all. In the ad it said prices starting at $1. The cheapest bandaids I found were $3.29. So with using 1 cp they were 2.29. The transaction was a little more than I expected but with the 10 ecb it ended up being ok. When I asked the cashier about it she said that she had never seen any bandaids that cheap there?? I sure wanted to stock up on bandaids but maybe next time. :)

Maya,
The Post Trail Mix Cereal coupons are still working. I printed 2 out last week. You will probably have to use a different computer if it's giving you that message. Hope it works out. :)

Shannon...i had the same problem finding 8 of the 3.99 Roc products at one store. I did however, get 6 at one location and then the next 2 at another CVS. ECB's printed perfectly, so maybe try that.

Also, on the Aveeno deal, your receipt should show you that you can earn the ecb's on the deal again. I know I took advantage of it a couple of week ago, and my receipt shows that I could do it again.

Lastly, I checked the Bandaids at 2 of my CVS stores and the cheapest i found them was $3.49. I was really hoping to stock up on this deal...even bought 20 coupons on ebay, but looks like I am going to be out of luck. Please let me know if anyone finds any for a dollar.

I asked the store manager at my CVS about the $1 band-aids and she could not find them anywhere. She mentioned that the ad was misleading to consumes and she will call corporate about it.

Tresemme at my store is not 3/$10 this week. The lowest item of the 24hr Body is $5 something. Also now cheapie Bandaids either, lowest was $3.49.

The BandAid Brand Bandages on page 18 of the circular (Prices starting at $1) was not in effect at my store. There were signs posted & the lowest price BandAid product was $2.49. Just a heads up for anyone else in PA (Lancaster County).

I just stumbled across this website and thought I'd pass it along. http://www.healthyseasonsoffers.com
It has coupons for OTC drugs and health products that will work well with the CVS deal this week (Visine, Neosporin, Benedryl). Many may already know about it, but I had never seen it before...

28 Heather April 27, 2009 at 12:56 pm

Can you use the same ECB on the same product or is it the same rules as Walgreens RR are?

To everyone looking for Band-Aids that are $1...check the trial and travel size stuff. There are mini first aid kits that are $.97. They have 8 or 10 bandaids, small packs of antibiotic ointment, and a couple of other items. I've used the Johnson's $1 off 1 and $2 off 3 coupons to get loads of them for free, which I then donate to my scout group and a local food pantry. I don't know if it is the $1 Band-Aid CVS was referring to in the ad, but it just might work...

Thank you for the wonderful summary! I did the Aveeno deal last week- twice! I bought three lotions for $6 each and one for $7, so my total was $25, then $10 ECBs, one $10 off coupon and one $2 off coupon, my total was $3 for 4 things of lotion. One of the times I used a $5 off $15 purchase of skincare products I had from one of my reciepts. Awesome deal!

Use this link for $2.50 off command hooks (which are on sale for 2/$5), you can print as many as you’d like.

Let’s just hope the stores have these metal ones!

Michelle- Thanks for the tip! I have called a few nearby CVS to ask about the metal hooks... it appears some have them and some do not.. but I am going to try to snatch some up! Useful product for free and possible ECB if I can find enough to equal the $15 to get them!

Warning: I got out my ECB's to pay and they were almost black. PANIC! The manager said they use thermal paper so if you leave them in your hot car (which I had done) they will turn black. Now they know know me quite well at the few stores I go to so it wasn't a problem, but they did not scan direct. He had to type them in. So take them in the AC with you if you have a store that is difficult.

Update on the Scotch/3M Command Metal Adhesive Hooks deal:

The jumbo metal hooks are also included in the 2/$5 although not advertised! These are the ones that are originally $6.99 and hold up to 5 lbs each! The smaller ones are still included as well. So this is what I did and made ECB $ from it, too:

4 large metal 3m Command hooks at 2/$5 ($10)
2 smaller metal 3m Command hooks at 2/$5 ($5)
Aleve travel bottle 8 ct. Clearanced at $1.25

Used 6 of the printable 3M Command Metal Hooks coupons from the link Michelle listed above ($2.50 each)
& $1.25 Peelie coupon from an Aleve bottle on shelf

= I owed nothing but tax!
Plus...
Purchasing $15 in participating 3M products get you back $5 in ECB...

=I come out ahead $5 in CVS ECB
(P.S.. Limit one ECB reward for this offer if you're wondering)

Thanks again, Michelle!

Just got my 5-3 CVS flyer in the mail today and NO ecb deals were listed. Not even one. The ad does mention that CVS is talking over Longs. Does this mean my area is not doing ECB deals during this takeover?? I am hoping not.

Question about the ROC. My coupons say limit 1 per purchase. Has anyone had problems with buying 8 ROC products and then dropping 8 coupons on CVS?

Reply

43 Shannon May 2, 2009 at 12:53 pm

I haven't had a problem - that is, for the 4 I've bought. Now if I could just find 4 more... thank goodness for rain checks!! I'm guessing that means one coupon per item, not per transaction. You can't buy one item and then use 4 coupons.

44 Jasmine May 2, 2009 at 6:00 pm

Anyone know how long the Roc deal is on? I need to find 2 more! I thought I saw the sign said it goes until 5/9, but I didn't really pay attention and now I wish I had...

Reply

45 Christy May 2, 2009 at 10:38 pm

I looked in my sales circular and couldn't see anything about the date for the roc deal. Maybe it was at the store that you saw it? Anyway they might not be on sale for $4 off next week. I went to my store tonight and they had already taken off the $4 sign so without that it won't be as good of a deal. If you didn't know CVS is really good about rain checks, just ask for one whenever they are out of a deal you want. They didn't have anymore of the 7.99 cleanser (3.99 with the sale) and the clerk just asked me how many I wanted for my rain check. She suggested I save my receipts just in case, showing that I had purchased the other roc cleansers to meet the $30 total. Hope that helps!

Reply

46 Jasmine May 3, 2009 at 9:38 am

Thanks. Yeah it was a sign in the store that I was referring too. Sorry to be confusing. You are probably right about the sale not being as good though.
I figured I couldn't ask for a rain check if I was the one who was buying the last of the product, right?
Anywho, I did end up getting my last 2 at a different store. It took 3 stores to get all 8! ha.

I have figured out some new elements from your site about pc's. Another thing I have always imagined is that computer systems have become a product that each home must have for many reasons. They supply you with convenient ways in which to organize households, pay bills, search for information, study, hear music and perhaps watch tv shows. An innovative method to complete many of these tasks has been a laptop computer. These computers are portable ones, small, effective and portable.
