I had a $5 ECB and used it towards the $4.99 Essence of beauty product and paid only 25 cents, then got the $4 ECB. Also a $5/$15 printed at the same time. So I bought 2 Garnier face cleansers ($5.99 each), 1 Garnier face towelettes ($5.99), 1 Garnier hair spray ($3.33) and 1 Garnier mousse ($3.33). Used 3 $1/1 coupons on Garnier face cleansing products, and 2 75 cents off on any Garnier hair styling product, along with $5/$15 coupon and my $4 ECB from the Essence of Beauty.
$5.99 x3 + $3.33 x2 equals $24.63 - $5/$15 = $19.63 - 3x $1 coupons = $16.63 - 2x $0.75 coupons = $15.13 - $4 ECB = $11.13. Then got $10 ECB back so it's like I got all 5 products for $1.13.

NWU, ECBs work a lot differently that Walgreen's Register Rewards. Tara has a great tutorial for both programs under the "drug store tab" on this website. Since CVS uses a loyalty card, it can limit how many each person can purchase with the "deal." The limit for this particular deal is 2 (as Tara stated in the above post). You can buy them in the same transaction or in separate transactions, it doesn't matter. And, yes, you should be able to use the ECBs from one to buy the other one (though I've never tried it). HTH!

It all depends on if the Ultra-Lift items are priced at $5.99, Kristin. If so you can buy 4 and use 4 $2.50 off coupons.

Hey Tara, your math is off just a little on the Garnier deal :) (Unless I'm missing something)

Lowest I can figure this deal out to be is $3.96 for 4.
