I slice up one cucumber into chips and put them into a pitcher and mix it up. The cucumbers stay fresh for at least 4-5 refills of the water and still tastes great! My neighbor and I have combined money to buy a recycling bin (we rent and share a duplex so it's not provided for us); we've saved so many trash bags and have recycled so much! Instead of wiping my toddler's face and hands with paper towels after every meal/snack, I will sometime use those. A little step, to be sure, but one that counts!
