Lasko Portable Electric Heaters
Lasko Products Inc., of West Chester, PA has issued a recall on Portable Electric Heaters because an electrical connection in the base of the unit can overheat causing it to melt and expose the electrical connection, posing a fire hazard to consumers. For dimensions, descriptions and model numbers of the recalled heaters, go here. The recalled heaters were sold at Sam's Club, W.W. Grainger, Inc. and other retailers from late 2002 to 2004 for between $39 and approximately $80.

PD Sixty Portable Space Heaters
PD Sixty Distributor Inc., of Norcross GA has recalled about 3,000 Portable Space Heaters because they can overheat due to loose electrical connections, posing a fire hazard to consumers. The recalled space heaters were sold at Hancock Fabrics stores nationwide and by America's Sewing Machine Company of Augusta, GA through nationwide direct marketing from October 2008 through March 2009 for between $380 and $480.
