Earth month is winding down now, but I’ve got a huge giveaway that will help you maintain your green efforts long beyond just this month. Included in this giveaway are the following items:
- Bissell Little Green Machine
- Clorox Greenworks Cleaners
- White Cloud Recycled Paper Towels and Toilet Paper
- Brita Water Filter Pitcher
- Tide Cold Water Detergent – not pictured
I had the opportunity to try these products out myself, and I’ve been very pleased with all of them. I think of all of them, the Bissell Little Green Machine is my favorite because it makes cleaning up all of those little kid and pet messes so easy and convenient. The most surprising would be the White Cloud recycled paper towels and toilet paper. I was suprised by how soft they were!
How can you win?

A few green tips-I go to consignment sales, etc. and buy gently used toys, etc. and give them as gifts to my son for bday, etc…he’s too young to know the difference and we are recylcing!
I have also been trying to use re-useable bags at stores as much as possible!
We recently bought a washer that uses much less water than older versions…the proof was on our water bill!

My greenest tip is to RECYCLE! My city doesn’t offer recycling, so we pay to have the service, but it is worth every penny. Every week our garbage can is less than half full, but our recycling bin is overflowing – the kids love to get into it.

My favorite green tip is to turn the tap water on a little less full blast. I ask myself if I really need it running that strong when I’m cleaning a dish or wetting a tooth brush.

The simple way that I’ve gone green is ever since my daughter was 2 months old I switched to cloth diapers. I couldn’t believe how fast our trash would fill up when the disposables! She is now almost 11 months and we have way less trash!

My favorite green thing we do, and we do many, is drive a hybrid car. I love it. And we save a lot of green on gas prices too!

Our family uses cloth napkins now instead of paper; we take our own bags to all stores (not just grocery); we shred paper for packaging instead of using plastic, and recycle, recycle, recycle!!!

White Vinegar is your best cleaning friend.
Cleans glass to a sparkle.
Countertops look great with no chemical smell.
Microwave it to get stuck on messes off.
Let your garbage disposal gargle a swish to keep it fresh and clean.
Add it as your rinse aid in you washer and you won’t need fabric softener sheets again!

I am trying to cut down on waste by using things that are reusable instead of disposable. My big one for this month is using less paper towels and using cloths for cleaning instead.

Hi! I am already a subscriber and my tip for a greener life is this: I’ve always been one to leave the water running while I brush my teeth and when I’m washing dishes. Leave the water off until you finish brushing and when you’re done scrubbing the dishes with soap. Probably everyone does this already but I never have, so now I’m doing that =)
