Earth month is winding down now, but I've got a huge giveaway that will help you maintain your green efforts long beyond just this month. Included in this giveaway are the following items:
- Bissell Little Green Machine
- Clorox Greenworks Cleaners
- White Cloud Recycled Paper Towels and Toilet Paper
- Brita Water Filter Pitcher
- Tide Cold Water Detergent – not pictured
I had the opportunity to try these products out myself, and I've been very pleased with all of them. I think of all of them, the Bissell Little Green Machine is my favorite because it makes cleaning up all of those little kid and pet messes so easy and convenient. The most surprising would be the White Cloud recycled paper towels and toilet paper. I was suprised by how soft they were!

green tip: Recycle! One thing we like to do in our home with plastic grocery bag is to use them as trash bags. Containers are also fun for baby to play with.
Don't eat meat every day, if at all, as that's really the best thing we can do for ourselves, the animals, and our planet.
Recycle! Recycle! Recycle!

I use plastic bags for trash baskets, garage sales, customers like that. The best is to wrap a paint roller in one tight. It is ready for when there are interruptions, or just didn't the job done.

I don't know how much the White Cloud people would like this, but to cut down on waste and expense, we use cloth napkins and towels most of the time now - and we hardly ever have to buy paper napkins - good for the environment and the pocketbook :)
Green Tip---forget paper napkins & paper towels we kitchen towels as personal napkins all the time. And for spills and other messes we use rags.

Whenever I buy one or two items, I tell the cashier don't put it in a bag unless it's something hard to carry by hand like meat. How many millions of bags would be saved each year if everyone did this!

I have been trying to use reusable shopping bags more. It's hard when you have a lot of purchases, but I think this will be a big help. I have also been trying to recycle more and teach my children to recycle as well.

Use old panty hose to hang onions, pototoes, garlic. Slide 1 vegetable in, tie a knot, slide another in, tie a knot. Keeps things fresh longer so no wasted food , no throwing food out because it's gone bad. And you've saved a pair of pantyhose from a trip to the landfill.
Recycle and reuse have become some of our favorite words.
I started to clean with vinegar more and I have 4 bags (2 in each car)
Most recently we have started using dish cloths and paper napkins instead of paper towels and paper napkins.
