Tune in all week for hot Back-To-School Giveaways. We’ve got some great prizes for the kids, with a couple of special prizes to pamper mom!!! Look for a new 48-hour giveaway each morning and each afternoon, and be sure to check out all of the current giveaways for other great prizes!
Today’s giveaway is especially for all the younger siblings who stand at the window longingly watching their big brothers and sisters head off to school!
Aren’t these fuzzy little guys just about the cutest thing ever? Smooshies are basically a fuzzy pillow with velcro arms, legs, features, hair, etc. that allow your child to express their creativity. You can find extra parts to increase the combinations at Michael’s and Joann Fabric’s.
I don’t know which of my kids was more enthralled with the Smooshie. My youngest just loves to snuggle and cuddle with it. But he’s also enjoying ripping off random body parts and waving them around with delight. Note: Smooshies are intended for kids ages 3 and older, but I let me little guy give it a whirl while closely supervised.
The older kids got a little creative and got a kick out of seeing what “kooky creation” they could come up with by putting body parts in unusual places. I didn’t anticipate my oldest showing much interest, but even he surprised me and decided to get in on the fun.
One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a complete Smooshies kit, ready to be snuggled and played with!
To enter, leave a comment and tell me about your favorite toy as a young child! Was it something soft and cuddly and sentimental or something that sparked hours of imaginative play?

The one thing I couldn’t live without was actually my blanket, not a toy. I took it with me everywhere and it got so dirty! I do still have it in storage…I guess I’m just to sentimental – I couldn’t part with it! My son has a blanket, too. Although, I wish he could have picked a different one. It’s fleece and he insists on having it in the summer! My twin girls (I got smarter this time around) have little winnie the pooh blankets that are part stuffed animal and part blanket (much smaller). One has Tigger and the other has Pooh. It’s fitting because my youngest has light blonde hair and kinda looks pooh-ish, while my other daughter has brown hair (like tigger’s stripes!)

My favorite was a Rainbow Brite doll…I no longer have it, but I was so stoked to see them on shelves again…I bought one for my daughter….LOL

My favorite toys were anything ‘horse’. I was passionate and probably mortified my mom when I requested Santa bring me a Roy Rogers Chuck Wagon. My earliest picture of me on a horse is between 15-18 months and although bucked off, kicked in the head, etc., any horse toy pleased me just fine!
April
My favorite toy was Winnie the Pooh. I still have it although it’s missing one eye and coming apart…I can’t imagine the amount of dust mites that are living in it!

I had a favorite blanket, but we don’t know what happened to it. It was well loved for MANY years, though!

One of my favorite toys growing up was a doll called Dapper Dan. He taught you how to button, snap, zipper and tie. He wasn’t very attractive, but I loved him!!
