Just do it and get it over thanks for the sweepstakes

2 Nancy August 29, 2009 at 1:26 am

I employ the help of my cute kidos to help it away!

3 Theresa D August 29, 2009 at 8:27 am

To save myself time I pay my kids to match up socks.

4 CrunchySews August 29, 2009 at 1:17 pm

My favorite laundry tip is to add white vinegar to the wash when I need to get out strong odors.

5 Ken Robinson August 29, 2009 at 1:45 pm

I like to keep my laundry regimented and done often enough to prevent overload. Please accept my entry. Thank you.

6 Jacob August 29, 2009 at 4:04 pm

Get a decent washer. I did and found out my old washer used a ton of extra water to do the same job. Made a huge difference

7 Denise August 29, 2009 at 5:16 pm

I only use half the detergent the package recommends. It works just as well and lasts twice as long that way.

8 Lisa H August 29, 2009 at 6:32 pm

I use less detergent for less dirty clothes.

9 beth shepherd August 29, 2009 at 7:54 pm

I try to use half of what is called for and use coupons and shop sales
Thank you for the chance

10 beth shepherd August 29, 2009 at 7:55 pm

I subscribe and I love it
Thank you for the chance

I make laundry less of a burden by telling myself I can read blogs until I'm done - LOL. It's amazing how I look forward to laundry these days. Usually I feel guilty taking time out to read blogs, but I can't feel guilty when this is my reward for doing laundry.

I use only half a sheet of fabric softener in the dryer - makes the box last longer, and I've never noticed a difference. Also, I wash all clothes in cold water (even without the special detergent) - the only exceptions are underwear and towels.

to make folding laundry a little more fun, i fold it while i'm watching my favorite evening tv shows. my hands do the work while my mind is occupied.

I guess my best tip for saving time on laundry would be to not let it pile up....I know, I know, easier said than done. :-)

Thank you.

Color coded bins for the whole family when washing , sorting and putting everyones laundry away.

21 checkers August 30, 2009 at 2:34 am

22 checkers August 30, 2009 at 2:34 am

I got your button

23 Molly Capel August 30, 2009 at 2:49 am

I hang up the kids clothes right away, instead of stacking them on the dressers. Otherwise the clean clothes end up on the floor & they get mixed in with dirty ones.

24 Tomato August 30, 2009 at 7:16 am

I use 1/2 of the recommended amount of detergent, and cut my dryer sheets in half. Still works just as well!

25 Erma August 30, 2009 at 10:19 am

To save money on laundry, I use coupons.

26 Elizabeth Jhnson August 30, 2009 at 10:45 am

I do laundry every Monday and Friday so it becomes less overwhelming!

27 Pamela S August 30, 2009 at 12:32 pm

My favorite tip is just to keep on top of it. I try to do one load every night while hubby is watching TV and kids are doing homework. I know many people who let it all pile up and then feel overwhelmed.
Thanks so much!

28 amy delong August 30, 2009 at 4:08 pm

I do the wash a couple of times a week, that way it isnt sooo bad!!

29 Kim F August 30, 2009 at 4:51 pm

How do I make it easier? I have 3 baskets the boys put their laundry in. White, colors, and jeans. Each boy must wash and fold one basket each week. It;s amazing how the clothes consumption has gone down since they started helping with the laundry.

30 Matthew August 30, 2009 at 5:20 pm

One way to save money on laundry is to make sure you're actually measuring out detergent. MOst people don't and it can be very wasteful and expensive!

31 Bambi M August 30, 2009 at 5:38 pm

We make it easier by doing it together! Hubby takes it down to the washer and brings it up, then we sort everything and put it away rather than leaving it to one person.

32 Bambi M August 30, 2009 at 5:39 pm

I'm an email subscriber!

Thanks for the great giveaway :)

33 Kristin Tate August 30, 2009 at 6:13 pm

Whenever someone goes down to the basement, they start a load. When they come back up, they bring a clean load up with them. (make your trip worthwhile)

34 Dani August 30, 2009 at 6:31 pm

Definitely a larger capacity washer. Helps out a lot!

35 Shane Murray August 30, 2009 at 7:26 pm

I use about half the detergent that the bottle says - clothes come out perfectly clean.

36 Tricia August 30, 2009 at 8:28 pm

I save time doing laundry by sorting it as I go rather than letting it turn into a big job.

Laundry cycle; love the package deal;

40 Debra F August 30, 2009 at 9:36 pm

I love my high effeciency washer. It has a really strong spin cycle and my clothes take a lot less time in the dryer saving a lot of money on electricity.

41 Corrie R August 30, 2009 at 11:01 pm

You can throw in a dry towel into your dryer with your wet clothes and they will dry faster.

42 Miranda Allen August 30, 2009 at 11:05 pm

My tip is get your hubby to do laundry like mine :)

43 christopher h August 31, 2009 at 1:27 am

go for the biggest washer you can get, the largest load size, then you don't have to wash as often

44 Carol Lawrence August 31, 2009 at 3:24 am

My husband likes to do the laundry so if I just delay long enough he'll have it done.

I wash in cold water and buy soap in sale with coupons.

47 Jammie August 31, 2009 at 5:28 am

I make my own laundry detergent. Comes out clean and costs me about 3 bucks for 5 gallons laundry soap.

48 Kayce Crews August 31, 2009 at 10:26 am

I love Gain. I think it saves me money because my clothes get cleaner and mmmm Fresher with less detergent.

49 Lisa August 31, 2009 at 10:57 am

I have my kids help me!! Otherwise, there's no real way to make this chore just have to do it!!
