I’ve never been very good at folding laundry, so I roll most items. Neat little rolls are easy to find in deep drawers, and come undone less easily than folded clothes.

I reuse dryer sheets multiple times and they still work like a charm (Bounce). Love the summer when there is less clothing and smaller clothing and I can fit laundry into 3 loads for 3 kids and 2 adults. In winter it usually has to be broken up into 5 loads.

If you go to a laundromat, then take some homework or work with you to pass the time.

Fabric softener is expensive and I try to use less than the recommended amount. For liquid softener, I use a “Downey ball” and I don’t fill it all the way to the recommended level with the softener – I add a little water to fill it up. I reuse fabric softener sheets as well.

To save money i mix fabric softner and water 50/5o. I then let my husband think hes using “extra” when his 2 capfuls is really just 1.

well i could really use it for college =P

To save time on laundry, do laundry on a day when you are also doing other chores at home. “Take a break” from another chore like vacuuming to switch clothes from the washer to the dryer, etc. To save money, try to buy laundry products on sale, using a coupon, and/or with a refund offer.

I have turned folding laundry into a game with my 4 year old nephew and 20 month old daughter- I ask them to bring me all the shirts as fast as possible or all the underwear etc- they have a blast and I keep them busy and get the laundry done!

I make use of my clothes line to dry which saves on electricity! No more dryer for me, unless it rains.

I try to do one load of whites every day right before I go to bed. It helps me keep up with the socks and undergarments so I never run out and I always have a clean t-shirt to wear. I put the clothes in the dryer when I wake up….wash, rinse, and repeat daily! :) Kmart’s double coupon deal is pretty good for stocking up on softener, but CVS and Walmart carry the best deals in my area for detergent.

I also subscribe to this website via email…it’s amazing!! Thanks, Tara!!

I love to do laundry, so I keep it all separated thruout the week. I bought 3 bins, white for whites, blue for jeans, and black for darks! It has been working pretty well, aside from the hubby straying and throwing his socks in the nearest basket, lol!

I try and do a load each night and get my kids to help put their clothes away. I don’t think I’ve ever been ‘caught up’, but I keep trying.
