I layer plain termal shirts under short sleeved shirts for fall and winter.

5 Caetie August 19, 2009 at 1:23 pm

I love leggings under shorter summer skirts.

I think a lot of people do this, but I buy a lot of clothes at the end of season in a size or two larger to be used in the next year. That way, I get them on clearance. It is a bit risky as far as sizing goes because my sons grow like crazy, but i have two that are 14 months apart so I know someone will fit it eventually!!

We are on a hand-me-down chain of friends, but when my boys still are in need of clothes, I try to hit the sales and check the clearance racks for next year.

I've learned to hardly ever pay full price for anything!!! Whether it be a sale, clearance, coupons, tjmaxx, marshalls, handmedowns ...

19 Rhonda Mason August 19, 2009 at 3:30 pm

I bought my grand daughter 3 sleeveless jumpers, 3 short sleeved shirts and 3 long sleeved shirts. All mix and match. Then I got several pair of leggings to go with them. Shes thrilled she gets to pick what to wear and they all look great!

Buying solids is a good way to stretch wardrobes...no prints to match! Also, I LOVE adjustable waist pants...my daughter is wearing capris from last summer thanks to adj. waists!

38 Valerie August 19, 2009 at 8:17 pm

We put leggings under summer dresses. After a summer of growing taller they make nice long tops.

To be honest, your blog and so many others out there have taught me sooo much! Now I hunt down deals (with help of your blog and others, as well as emails) and wait till things go on sale. Plus, they're quality clothes like Old Navy and The Children's Place, so they last longer! I also buy clothes at Thrift Stores because you can find great deals there too!

Well some of the things I do is always keep a pair of leggings. It's the perfect thing to have, you can always add a pair of leggings to an outfit whether to dress it up or down. They are perfect for the times that most students are in school fall and winter, even spring. Plus if you keep a pair of leggings maybe black and brown you can always change your outfit up. And it saves cash! :) Well all I can say now is I hope I win!!! :) and it would mean a lot to me
Oh I'm also an e-mail subscriber, im in the forums, and I'm following you through Twitter :)
