Cost and style are SO important, but durability is a must since we reuse the shoes that I buy for my oldest for our other 2 girls!

4 Kassia August 18, 2009 at 8:09 pm

The most important thing I look for in kids shoes is comfort and Crocs certainly are comfy! I like the Dawson style.

I always looked for quality. Shoes are something I never passed down to another child because their feet mold their shoes and I have seen too many children with feet problems due to ill fitting shoes. I love crocs! I would get the MacKenzie!

teton for my crazy busy boy. i look for shoes that will last to be handed down to at least one of the two younger boys.

13 Modern Day Mom August 18, 2009 at 8:38 pm

I look for a balance between comfort, style, and cost. Kids won't wear shoes if they don't look cool, and I won't buy them if they're too expensive! I'll give younger kids a choice between 2-3 different styles that fit in the budget, and I'll give older kids a price range and let them find options for themselves.

Make sure there is plenty of toe room so they dont grow out of the shoes too soon.

17 Melissa August 18, 2009 at 8:55 pm

Price is most important to me, since we go thru so many pairs of shoes! I love all of these styles but I think my son would love the Dawsons.

26 Erica August 18, 2009 at 9:16 pm

I like the Dawson model. I always bought shoes at a locally-owned shoe store. My kids loved Doc Martins! I liked high quality (long-lasting) shoes.

Most important in buying my kid's shoes - comfort/correct fit.
Those little feet have a lot of growing to do!

I would pick the Teton model for my son.

34 Jenn August 18, 2009 at 9:51 pm

Comfort and durability are the most important to me! I like the Teton model

35 Jen Mizener August 18, 2009 at 9:55 pm

I love the sophia style. My kids love Crocs. They have to have straps on the back of their sandels, and the school playground is covered with black tire chips that stain other shoes. Crocs work perfectly for school!! jenmizener at gmail dot com

I would chose the sofia style, & the most important consideration when shopping for new shoes is flexibility. I want them to have many uses as well as room to tighten when they are to big & room to stretch when they are getting snug! :)

I like the Dawsons. The most important things are fit and quality (support, durability, etc), but they also have to look good or the kids won't wear them.
