Join me every day this week for Back-to-School Giveaways. I’ll be posting 5-day giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!
As I’ve mentioned before, KIND Snacks have quickly become one of my favorite healthy snacks, and they’re especially great when I’m looking for a nutritious snack while I’m on the go. The makers of KIND believe that food should never be processed to the point that you can no longer tell what it is, and all of their bars are made from wholesome all-natural ingredients you can see and pronounce. With whole nuts and fruit held together with honey through a natural process that keeps them fresh, KIND snacks are packed full of flavor and have just the right amount of crunch!
KIND is a sponsor of the annual Great Kindness Challenge on August 14.
The Great Kindness Challenge is one day devoted to performing as many acts of kindness as possible. This year’s goal is to have over one million children participate with the hope that this day will inspire a lifelong commitment to service and kindness.
From sunup to sundown, children around the world will accomplish simple, kind deeds using The Great Kindness Challenge Checklist from Kids for Peace. Visit The Great Kindness Challenge for more information and to sign up to participate!

Tonight, I washed the dishes and pots (hand wash!) that were piled up even when my hubby told me he’d do it. It always seems like a daunting task, but when I know I’m doing it ‘for’ someone else, it makes it feel better and easier!

A recent act of kindness was turning in an expensive pair of designer sunglasses at the post office; I’m sure that the woman missing them came back for them! :) It was a small gesture but certainly “warmed my heart”. I always donate extra food, toiletries, etc. to a local charity and our church (depending on need). A small act of kindness ALWAYS FEEL GREAT!
Tina
I took dinner to a friend who just had a baby.
I think that we’ll try to participate on the 14th by helping out our elderly neighbor.
Paula
We are collecting school supplies at work; great way to put to good use all the great deals and freebies :)

I love the idea of an “Acts of Kindness” day. We try to incorporate that into our daily lives, but a day set aside is always a good thing. I think we’ll bake cookies, because they love to do that, and take them to someone as a thank you.

I work with individuals with disabilities, we go to the same bowling place every week and the people there go out of their way to make us feel welcome, give us a great discount, and the occasional free game. They are amazing! I decided I need to compliment people more, so thats my goal for the great kindness day.
