I visited the store in NYC yesterday and got my daughter her first doll. I wanted to get her the bed for x-mas, but didn't want to lug it around the city all day. Just checked out online and saw shipping was $11! Does anyone know of a free shipping code I can use?

I do agree when it comes to "baby" baby dolls that the corolle brand is awesome. I do however want to say the 18" "girl" dolls from AMerican Girl are the way to go when you're in the market for that type of doll. They do hold their value and are quite special. :)

American girl always runs a free shipping for at least a week before the holidays. After Thanksgiving sometime and we got free shipping at Easter too! Its usually free on orders over a hundred dollars, but when you are buying a hundred dollar doll, its not hard to do!

Last year I had my heart set on my daughter getting a Bitty Baby. My MIL selected a Corolle baby doll for her instead, and boy, am I glad! My niece has a Bitty Baby so I was able to compare them in person, and in my opinion the Corolle dolls are much cuter. My daughter has the Bebe Charmeur and she is such a lovely doll, eyes open and shut and she is really nicely weighted, you just want to cuddle like a real baby. Even my husband thought so! If you are in the market, I'd recommend checking them out...

This was on my list to watch for so I could get my granddaughters their Bitty Baby launching the next generation tradition of an American doll lovers. 20 years ago my daughter got her first doll and many more followed for the younger girls and now I get the gift to buy one for my granddaughters and use my design and sewing talents to sew for them.

American Girl dolls are the best!! They hold their value for all the years to come. My daughters love their American Girl Dolls . Any time they get anything from there , they feel so special! Not to mention, American Girl has THE best customer service !!!!!
