It looks like the Mastercard Marketplace Overwhelming Offer for today will be a $50 Walmart Gift Card for just $25! These offers go very fast, so register now to be prepared. The offer should start at 12:00pm EST!
I know many of you don’t use credit cards, but this works with Mastercard debit cards as well. And you only have to provide the first 6 digits of your card to register! Of course you’ll need to provide the full card number when/if you make a purchase, but you can check it out risk free.

So how did you know it was for that amount? I guess the hint tells it is about wal-mart..but how to know the amount?

You can sign up for daily preview emails to know what they’re going to be.

And how does this Mastercard Marketplace work anyway? Is it like the daily deal sites where you print out the gift card and use it at Wal-Mart in person?

TELLS ME A HINT THAT ITS A WII????
Tracey
hmmm..now it says its the walmart thing

The Wii is a preview for the daily emails that go out, not the actual deal preview.

All gone already !!!!!!!!!!!

That was fast — I didn’t get one either, and I clicked it as soon as it went live!

Ok nevermind, that sold out in like 10 seconds.

These offers are ridiculous! Seriously, 500 cards for 50,000 interested people? I quit even trying. This is just a very successful marketing ploy that more businesses are using to get their names out there at the least cost. They blanket the blogs with their offer, knowing that they’ll be out in literally 5 seconds. But look at all the great advertising and publicity they get! And as the old addage goes, even negative publicity is still publicity.

The preview email this morning said “DVD’S from Walmart $25 off $50” Does anybody know if that means you HAVE to buy DVD’s with your $50 credit? Since they’ve threatened to start penalizing people who get the deal but then don’t use it, I’ve been afraid to try for anything because you can’t really get any details until it goes live. Then if you spend the time to read the fine print once it’s live, you’ve missed the deal. This isn’t the first one that I’ve seen that looked like it was ‘item-specific’. Thanks

Mastercard marketplace does work. Yes they go REALLY fast but its legit. You have to be one of the first to click the item and then it will reserve it for you. Then yoiu purchase the item(s) at full price and they credit you after a week or two. I got a $50 applebees gift card from buy.com. About 8 days later the $25 credit was on my credit card.I too was suspicious. But do read the details, its not always a gift card. Could be half off purses, electronics, etc.

I’m with Linda C. Walmart sometimes says Cameras or Electronics. Do you have to buy just what it say?
