by Tara Kuczykowski on August 28, 2009 · 255 comments

Kroger Deals
To celebrate Mega Savings Event that runs at Kroger through September 2nd, General Mills and PepsiCo issued a challenge through My Blog Spark to see just how much the Deal Seeking Mom readers can get with $30.

I wasn't able to head to the store myself because of my last-minute foot surgery last week, but Alyssa from Kingdom First Mom got everything pictured above for $33.29. Check out her post for information on how she saved over $100!

Today, I've got another $30 gift card to give away to one lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader!
Be sure to read through the Mega Event Sale posts to get an idea of what's on sale and how to stretch your dollars and then tell me what your favorite sale item is this week.

Every reader has three methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, or three for up to a total of 3 entries!!!

Methods of entry:

1. Leave a comment. What is your favorite sale item from this week's Mega Savings Event? What's the best coupon matchup you see?

2. Use the Mr. Linky below to share a post on your blog that highlights the best deals and scenarios you've found throughout the Mega Savings Event! You're welcome to link to your scenarios/matchups OR photos from your shopping trip, but only one link per person, please!

3. Send out the following tweet on Twitter. Be sure to come back and leave a separate comment letting me know you've done so.

Win a $30 Kroger gift card from @DealSeekingMom, General Mills & PepsiCo by sharing your best deals & steals.

(1) $30 Kroger's Gift Card

This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on Saturday, 8/29. I’ll use to select the winning comment. Winner will be notified by email on and listed on my Giveaway Winners page. Good luck!

I'd LOVE to win the gift card..

19 Modern Day Mom August 28, 2009 at 10:19 pm

I love the Honey Nut Cheerios deal! I'm not sure if I'm doing the math right... is it $1.99 before or after the instant savings? If it's before, then it would be $1.99 - $0.50 instant savings wyb 10 items - $0.55 Honey Nut Cheerios printable - $1 Honey Nut Cheerios via CellFire (if the registers still stack CellFire and manufacturer coupons) = better than free! Even if it's $1.99 after the instant savings, then it would still only be $0.44 for one box!

20 Kristina August 28, 2009 at 10:19 pm

Strange my first comment didn't show up. Maybe I forgot to press enter. I would love to be entered. My favorite mega event item is kind of boring it is the Fiber One Cereal. There were coupons for $0.75 off a while back that made the cereal $0.50-free. My girls like it for breakfast. Thanks again : )

Wow -- it looks like most of the Mr. Linky submissions have nothing to do with the Mega Savings Event. I hope they don't count as entries.
