Handmade Olive Branch Wreaths

The first thing that struck me about my Lindsay Olives' Handmade Holiday Olive Branch Wreath was just how good it smelled when I opened the box. Then I was struck by just how pretty it is. I immediately hung it on our front door, but if I'd have received it closer to Thanksgiving, I would have loved to use it as a centerpiece with a candle holder in the center like the photo on their website.

This would make a lovely hostess gift for a holiday dinner, and even better, your gift will also help feed the hungry. Lindsay Olives donates all proceeds from the sales of the wreaths to Meals On Wheels. I love it when gift giving and helping others go hand in hand!

More About Bell-Carter Foods, Inc. and Lindsay Olives
Although they're now the largest producer of table olives in the U.S., Bell-Carter Foods, Inc. is still a family-run business that will never forget its roots -- roots that run deep and wide with the way they care about their employees, the community, the environment, and the olive trees that their growers harvest. And just like the olive tree, they believe in taking their time as they grow to ensure they never lose sight of their values.

My favorite holiday greenery would have to be our family christmas tree, which is always a fun family tradition that involves a lot of laughter watching my husband cut it down. Thanks for the chance to enter!

17 Briana November 27, 2009 at 3:54 pm

DEFINITELY a real Christmas tree - wouldn't have it any other way. That's about as far as the fresh greenery goes in my house, though!

My sister has continued the tradition (started by my mom's parents) of giving each of her children a small tree in their rooms to decorate any way they want. I always like to see how my nephews have decorated their trees. It's usually a mix of hand made ornaments, random toys (Lego Star Wars men were big with my older nephew last year), cat toys, ornaments from the "real" tree that somehow migrated upstairs, the occasional nerf dart that got lodged in the tree during a raid on a brother's room, etc. It's neat to see the boys' personalities reflected in their trees each year.

I just LOVE to decorate for Christmas! We usually can't have a real tree due to family allergies, but this year we are away from family- So we have a REAL tree! I also picked up 6 poinsettias at Home Depot this morning, so we have those scattered around the house. It would be SO NICE to have something so fragrant as the Olive Branch Wreaths around this holiday season- Since we're 8 hours away from both of our families, we're going to have a big get together at our home with our new friends down here. Also, we've been working hard to become debt free the last few years, so Christmases have been small. Wouldn't those wreathes be a fantastic addition? We think so!

46 Anne Marie November 27, 2009 at 5:38 pm

I love real greenery with lights - they tend to be expensive though so I end up with the artificial. Love your blog.
