Amy Peters’ Studio Fortune Cookie Necklace
Fortune cookies have a special meaning for my husband and me. I gave him a hinged silver-plated fortune cookie Christmas ornament with a custom fortune inside on our wedding day. So I instantly fell in love with these fortune cookie necklaces when I first saw them, and they’re just as precious in person.
Choose from seven preprinted “fortunes” or create your own message up to 28 characters. Amy even makes Itty Bitty Fortune Cookies that would be a perfect choice for a preteen.

The most meaningful gift I’ve ever given was when I gave my daughter my favorite childhood doll. I waited until she was old enough to appreciate it, but not too old to enjoy!

I was looking through old photos that my mother was given from my grandmother. Among the pics was one of my the farm that my grandparents owned when they were young and raising their 6 children. It was a small picture, and torn almost in half. I asked my mom if I could borrow it, had it restored and blown up in sepia, found a beautiful frame and gave it to my grandmother for Christmas. She held it to her heart and cried. I did good!

Many years ago I gave my husband an ID bracelet (they were a big thing then) & had it engraved not just with his name, but a message inside. I gave it to our son (his namesake) after my husband passed away not quite 2 years ago.

most meaningful gift: an engagement ring to my husband after he proposed to me (giving me my own beautiful ring of course). He always thought it would be cool to get one too, wondering why its only women who show they’re taken during engagement. He was pretty surprised.

I gave my husband our first son 32 years ago on Dec. 3rd and he was so happy. That same son gave us our first grandson 16 months ago. Nothing like being a grandparent!

I was left some diamonds from my grandmothers wedding ring. I took 6 of them and had custom cuff links made for my father. I still remember his look and the tears that came. It was so special. I was happy to do it!

Hmm. Well a few years ago I found two pictures of me and my dad – one when I was about 2, and one when I was about 5. We are in the same pose in both pics with him holding me with his left arm. I put them in a double frame and gave it to him for father’s day. He was touched!

The most meaningful gift I have ever given will be done this year at Christmas – it is a 2010 calendar with pics of my children for both my mom and mother-in-law. My parents live 3 hours away so it will be real special to my mom!
