Not all Kroger stores will accept internet coupons above $1 face value.

The price at my local Kroger is $2.49 after the mega savings discount. Even so, .99 is a good price.

My Kroger in Richmond, VA has the peanuts priced at $3.49 with the Mega Event. I couldn't find any cheaper than that. I still bought one... $2 is still pretty cheap.

Thanks for the link Jamie.
I just went to Kroger (Indianapolis area) last night and was told that Kroger did not accept Internet coupons over $1 since all Internet coupons over a $1 are fraudulent. They could not show me that policy in writing anywhere and told me that they do not post policies like that in the store for the public to see.

Yeah, I became a fan of Mr.Peanut on Facebook! But I can't find the coupon anywhere... Not so much of a fan now... but planter's nuts are pretty delicious. Where is the coupon?
