I think there is an error in the math. $1 - $.50 = $.50, not free.
Maybe it's assuming your store doubles coupons? My grocery store does not :(

I go to Ralphs and they double coupons up to $1. These brownies will make a good free treat for the kids.

it says if when you read it. so if you can correctly read than they aren't assuming they are saying if it doubles then it is free :P

These are on sale for $1 this week at A&P [[ending 02/24]]. They're also $1, regular priced, at CVS.
